Sixty-eight year old monument? Hardly. The gazebo was built and installed on the plot of land by the Harford Historical Society in 1994.

George Pritchard, who donated the land to the Historical Society in 1941, stipulated in a heritage deed that nothing was to be built on the land, or it would revert to the deed holder, who happens to be Bronson Pinchot.

Every one of the articles tries to paint Mr. Pinchot as some kind of tyrant who is ripping out an ancient landmark in some poor little village, while it is actually quite the opposite.
