Sad, tragic, and stupid. I cannot for the life of me understand why someone would have a deadly snake in a house full of children. Just blows my mind. The police should throw the book at him, of course the mother is just as culpable for allowing the snake in her house. She'll have to live with this for the rest of her life, what a terribly hard lesson to learn.

FL is loaded with a lot of ignorant white trash like these people. Especially central Florida.

The "mother" if you want to call her that is knocked up with this idiot's kid.

Well, today (Friday, July 17th, 2009) marks a wonderful day that will go down in God's history book of how humanitarian his #1 animal was to the rest of God's creatures, with the State sanctioned mass execution (can't even take them alive if you wanted) slaughter of Pythons in the Everglades. We should all be proud. The unfortunate accident of a child's death from improper foresight of the snake's owners, in the eyes of GOVERNOR CRIST'S and SENATOR NELSON, is cause enough to conclude, in their eternal jungle wisdom and political logic, that all the Pythons in the Everglades now need to be exterminated, eradicated, and hunted down by "experts" familiar with such animals, and killed on the spot.

This professional view, is shared by none other than Florida Wildlife's "Exotic Species Section Leader," Scott Hardin, who proudly proclaims with the mastery of his authority to such a title "One Burmese python is too many." FWC's assistant executive director, Nick Wiley, explains on their web site: "This is a good way to collect information critical to finding the best way to eradicate this harmful snake," and "This is a strategic and responsible approach to begin solving the problem of pythons in Florida."

These are the people, who lead Florida's image in the eyes of its citizens to "responsible" control of animals in a humane and pragmatic way, that considers all avenues of consequences to all sides of an issue... not.

From the tragedy of an accident, not supported by any repetition of the threat or history (like multiple shark attacks in a give span of time, in a given area of coastline, we are led by our leaders to conclude their Nazi wisdom, that eradication (can't even take them alive) is "the best" way. Carefully decided after a full review of scientific data, eco?system damage report, projected impact to other species from the loss of the animals, and from the process they've chose to pursue it. Do you think these "experts" won't kill a dozen or two other species that "look" like Pythons? No second chance for a second opinion, the order is "kill them on the spot," and by the way, make sure you get a GPS reading so we can 'study' it."

I've studied and raised these animals for over 25 yeas. This hysteria will come back to haunt many people in due time, which parallels the mass slaughter of sharks and any other wildlife we were stupid about understanding in God's design. These animals are passive, not threatening. Before you judge what that means, consider the atmosphere and specific animal is studied in. Put any animal in a cage, and drop its food in on clock's timing and see if you understand that animal's disposition to its environment when it gets out, as nature would ask it to pursue doing. These are extremely intelligent, gentle and tolerating animals, unless they are abused ?? which might be applied to any animal ?? including ourselves. There are numerous ramifications, not for the better of humans, that such witch hunts will develop.

We've got to rise above the level of "solution" creating, where we think locking up or killing our problems is the best way to deal with them.

The best way for those of us who understand the importance of compassion, eco-responsibility and the global image we project in anything like this we do, is to get rid of the politicians who don't understand this. But that is not my agenda. My agenda is simple: live and let live, and end hypocrisy in government. I would like to hear from anyone of like opinions, or different. That's how we get things done, not running to the mattresses, like Nazis and gangsters hiding behind hysteria charged political agendas.
Maybe with some real leverage, we can do the right thing, and really study, appreciate and learn from these (and all) animals God placed here. It's the right thing to do.

Daily Horoscope for December 10

Aries

One of the family needs plenty of love and attention today, but the trouble is that you may not be able to spare the time. If so, you'll be consumed with guilt and self-reproach, and this may become so strong that it casts a blight over the day. So do what you can to let them know you're thinking about them, but resist the temptation to berate yourself over things you can't change.
