Its about time! NOW we go after the committee and our Senators to push bill through their house untouched....well said snoopy.

I urge everyone to get on the phone and call their Senators and ask that they consider and support the house bill version. If you don't the lobby groups will corrupt the bill, drag it out for ever, and force it to die. Then we are back to square one.

So dog abortion is now illegal?

What about personal privacy and property rights?

The back alley botched abortions will now escalate.

It would be nice if everyone would hit up their House Reps. website and send a small e-mail of thanks for their efforts. I admit I am always the first one to climb all over my Reps. and Sens. backs for what I perceive as problems that need attention no matter what the item entails. But I always go back with a generous thank you for a job done well, too. I think they appreciate being recognized as well.

Thank you Julie Harhart for your YES vote for HB2525! We appreciate your support on this one!

I am so glad our state government has finally proposed sound improvements to our existing dog laws. Other issues as impeachment, the economy, wall street bailouts are not nearly as important as fixing our dog laws...I'm glad to know that our priorities are staright in the state of pennsylvania.
Please let us make sure that we don't focus on other issues until we are sure the dog laws changes pass our legislation and are fully inacted.

way to go gov't tackling these dog laws. perhaps next we'll tackle improper disposal of yard waste, or maybe even the increase of cigarette butts as a source of litter, or maybe even those wreckless drivers who forget to turn their high beams off - they deserve the chair! lets ignore economy, jobs, school taxes, infrastructure, everything and worry about our precious family pets. But now everyone can sleep better right, knowing the cousin of their trusty Fido and future generations will be protected. Just delightful

Billy...some of us have been working on bills like this one for years...YEARS. The reason your legislators will not address the items YOU mention is because they can't work in a bi-partisan manner to solve problems. That is the plain simple truth. If all they can pass...and not by 100% with BOTH parties agreeing...is some simple abuse policy for dogs, such as dogs can't be beat while in captivity, or the breeders or millers can't stop them from barking by jamming a 1" pipe down their throats to tear their vocal cords for life, or even that they are jammed 2, 3, or 4 into a 2' square metal cage with crap all over the place in 20 degree winter temp and 110 degree summer temps...then we've got a problem. And YES, we do have a real problem.

There ARE other important issues that need to be adressed...governemt policy reform to stop corruption, Constitutional Convention to give SOME control of the government back to the people and make the legislator more responsible to their boss; us, just to mention two large problems that need to be addressed, but they won't. They can't come to an agreement on what to do. They are in office to waste time and collect the necessary years for their guaranteed pension (about 6 years I believe) and life healthcare policy, and use their position to gain steps up at your financial expense. Look at all the crooked govt. employee's coming out with new jobs...Decker, for one. All the govt. lawyers working for the gaming commission that quit and went to the other side!! That is the biggest slap in the face. You qualms with the govt. seemingly wasting their time passing simple dog legislation is about all you have gotten out of them in the past 8 years, and is about all you WILL get out of them until we, the people, shake up their souls and get rid of people like DeWeese, who tends to hold up good legislation while claiming they got more transparency in the govt.(yeah, right...lol) and the likes, so we can install decent legislators who WILL work to fix problems and be flexible to work together in a bi-partisan manner. Now...that would be delightful. Call your congressman and tell them...get off yer duff and work with the rest of the guys to pass some meaningful laws rather than flush these simple no-brainer laws through to PRETEND you are doing something.

GO KITTYYYYY!!!... You are my HERO!! This bill may not seem like much to some, but it is a small step for animal rights!... Our little furry friends have been set to the side for too long... Baby, the day you run for office, you have my utmost support!
