Smith County Jail Inmate Found Dead in Cell

I'm scared to live in tyler now that i know everything that goes on here.

I have lived in a lot of places in my 60 yrs on earth, and Smith County TX is the worst i have been in. The Laws are crooked, they are on the take from drug dealers ,they dont wont to close the crack houses down, they wont get their cuts that way.This is a known fact and can be proven. The reinky dink cops harass women, strip search them on the side of a road with NO female officer there, humilitate them,take them 5 miles from their autos and tell them to walk back. They pull people over for dwi but never do any kind of test, take them to jail house they set for a hr, never finger printed, no photo taken, no check run on auto, no insurance checked, yet the person who was NOT driving has to go through the hell of being accused and pleaded guilty to it because they dont have a thousand dollars for a lawyer, and these cops knows this, so it looks good for the cops record, another notch on his big ole gun. The cops, lawyers, judges in smith county are all working togather,they are lining their pockets with mega money and drugs ,guns ect amazing how much come up missing.Its just a big big laugh to the people in smith county who dont have money to buy there way out.If your a female your gonna get harassed because you have a past, dont matter how good your doing now, if your a teenager they harass them, Duive a older ford pu and drive caddy side by side same speed , see who they pull over, sure wont be the caddy. Wonder why?????????The Book Smith County Justice summed it up real well,people went to jail that waslied on and set up by cops, the rich got spe cial treatment,no wonder they tried to bann the book, but there are a lot still around, it should be printed in the news paper for all to see how low down and crooked the smith county city and county cops are, it sure would open a bunch of peoples eyes , that seem to think the law is just grand, boy thats a joke,

I was in Smith County f0r 2 weeks. That place needs to be shut down for real! All kinds of mice and rats just run around that place freely. There is no telling what that man could've gotten exposed to but to say he died of natural causes is nuts. Yall know JB Smith is the biggest crook around!!! I know he's covering this crap up just to save his butt!

The late Judge Joe Tunnell would have tried like hell to change things wouldn't he? Thanks for remembering him and his fight for justice in Smith County.

They kill people for insurance money and blame people out of state so there is never any closure.

all you people wondering why he was in jail? it's the law, you have to pay child support. once you're in jail, the state attorney general starts paying the recipient, and keeping a tab. once you're out of jail, you then start paying child support PLUS what the state paid for you while you were in jail.
this guy was in jail 6 times in 2 years, will from humble.

his death is tragic, and i feel for his family, but jail is NOT supposed to be a resort, that's part of making it a place you DON'T want to go back to.

More than likely he has a job and just does not want to pay child support. If he is not paying for his child when he is not in jail what does it matter that he is in jail not paying?? The point is the child is not being taken care of. And who said he did not have a job? My little girls dad makes 100,000 a year and is still on probation in Smith county for non payment.

Well, not ANYMORE, he's dead. The issue is not WHY he was in jail to begin with, the issue is whether Tylerites are willing to say "it is UNACCEPTABLE for inmates to die in custody, regardless of whether the cause is medical neglect or downright brutality."
