I just did a search for Mayor Larry Waters to see what information is on the internet about him. I found his re-election site, www.larrywaters.com , and was shocked to see how he talks down to the people of Sevier county.
He needs to go. |
He just does what Dr. Jackie Parton tells him.
Looks like this site might be a mistake for Larry |
I likes Larry. He do a good job. Need any gravel?

For Heavens sake, Larry, step down. These people you refer to as "radicals" or "wackos" really are citizens here and pay taxes and are contributing beneficial individuals to the community. This is not a community of only 2000 people, so why must you treat it that way?
You really need to go, if not willingly, then by your nose hairs. You my friend, are toast and may be burnt toast before this is over. Governmental accountability is not too much to ask for and expect. However your absolute monarchy is just about over. See definition below should you have difficulty with this terminology. absolute monarchy Rule by one person a monarch, usually a king or a queen whose actions are restricted neither by written law nor by custom; a system different from a constitutional monarchy and from a republic. Absolute monarchy persisted in France until 1789 and in Russia until 1917. The American Heritageฎ New Dictionary of Cultural Literacy, Third Edition Copyright ฉ 2005 by Houghton Mifflin Company. http://larrywaters.com/ shows me something disturbing, is that Larry?
Are you sure this is 'our Larry'? I saw him in that red sweater last Monday night at commission meeting, it must be him! |
Just occurred to me there should be an ad in the Mountain Mess 'looking for one to ride shot-gun' with the Mayor.
Lordy, lordy - one can tell by looking at him that he is near needing a full time companion to take care of him, sorta like a do-all, be-all kinda assistant - wonder what that job would pay? Anybody know what the starting salary would be? Might be a good opening for those leaving SCUD, what do you reckon? |
Good to see that Curtis Henry has forgiven Waters for throwing him under the bus at the commission meetings. He has been at ball games with the other cronies stumping for Waters.
But when all is said and done, nobody stepped up to take his place in the primaries. So, bitching to 5 people here is not going to get your agenda done, if ya'll know better, run for the job.

If you are one of those 'we're preaching to - suggest you check your list appearing on the ballot at primary. Typical of most voters - don't know who is running and who is! Are you educated in Sevier County Schools or Cocke County Schools? |
Sorry, Mr. Talker, I saw the primary sign up sheets the day before they were pulled. It was Waters and Pierce. Sherriff was Seals, Pierce, and some nobody. So, typical of most "Big Talker's" assume your debating an idiot. Then again, I must be an idiot for reading through the ridiculous drivel on this site and actually caring enough to respond. I mean, I love how this "Mikey" sits here and calls people inbred bastards, when he has no sense of grammar. It's like the people at seviercorruption, your point would be a tad more credible with spellcheck.

County mayor, most commissioners face opposition in 2010 elections
by DEREK HODGES6 days ago | 336 views | 0 | 6 || SEVIERVILLE With only one contested race for a courthouse office this year, it looks like the majority of the electoral action at the county level will come in the battle for County Commission seats. Filing deadline was noon Thursday. Among the constitutional officers, only the county mayors race drew a contest, with Larry Waters challenged for re-election in the May 4 primary by fellow Republican Howard W.Howie Reagan. Independent candidate Bradley K. Lowe will face the winner of that contest in the August general election. Meanwhile, it looks like everyone else in the courthouse will hold on to their posts unopposed. That includes: n Rita D. Ellison, Circuit Court clerk n Connie Holt, General Sessions Court clerk n Jettie B. Clabo, trustee n Joe T. Keener II, county clerk n Sherry Robertson Huskey, register of deeds n Jonas A. Smelcer, road superintendent. The winners in each primary race or those who are unopposed in the May contests will go on to the final vote in August. This will be the first year county voters will be asked to pick commissioners for assigned seats, meaning each candidate is seeking seat A, B or C in his or her district. In the past, all the candidates in a given district ran together for the two or three open seats. All 25 commission seats are up for grabs every four years. This year there is an influx of candidates for the posts. The list (all running as Republicans unless otherwise noted) includes: n District 1 Seat A Warren Hurst n District 1 Seat B Tommy R. Watts, James W. Bishop, Arlie Max Watson, Dale Greg Bullock n District 2 Seat A Ben Clabo n District 2 Seat B Gregory Phillip King, John A. Meyers n District 3 Seat A Charles Tommy McGaha, Randall C. Williams n District 3 Seat B Tony A. Proffitt, John E. French n District 4 Seat A Ronnie R. Whaley n District 4 Seat B Carroll Rauhuff n District 4 Seat C Marty Loveday, Roger H. Radel, Leonard H. Waring n District 5 Seat A James Temple n District 5 Seat B Fred A. Atchley n District 5 Seat C James Frank Parton n District 6 Seat A Joseph S. Karl, William G. Oakes, Gregory Haggard n District 6 Seat B John Harold Pitner, Christopher Clepper, Dennis C. Gray n District 7 Seat A Ronnie Allen, Larry D. Etherton n District 7 Seat B Timothy S. Hurst, Duane A. Dodgen, Kenneth P. Whaley n District 8 Seat A Harold Gene Byrd, Gerald Harrell (Democrat), Troy A. Sellars n District 8 Seat B Michael W. Hillard, Levator Leroy Maples, Andy R. Moore n District 8 Seat C Kent A. Woods n District 9 Seat A David Norton Jr., Edward Shane Lutrell n District 9 Seat B Judith A. Godfrey, Gerra L. Mary n District 10 Seat A Bryan Delius, Kevin S. Whaley (Democrat) n District 10 Seat B Jimmy R. Keener, James Dykes n District 11 Seat A Gary A. Cole, Michael P. Fitzgibbons (Democrat) n District 11 Seat B Ray I. Ogle. Joining those successful candidates on the August ballot will be independent candidates Thomas M. Bordeaux in District 7 Seat A, and Steven J. Brenner and David DeArmond, both of whom are seeking Seat B in District 10. n dhodges@themountainpress.com |

Larry is being challanged in the primary. But no one can beat a rigged election. |
Glad to see you admit your an idiot. MOst wont admit mistakes. Those running Seviercorruption.com are Sevier County High school Graduates. Goes to show Parton has school teachers take the TCAP test for students. At Pittman Center, they wait until after the kids do the test then correct them before being submitted for grading. |

I hope everyone in district eight remembers how our commissioners voted when the plant from Newport was trying to come into our county.
Gene Byrd-NO Kent Woods-NO Mike Hillard-NO Its time for a change, I have lived in Kodak all my life, Kent Woods is unopposed but lets get out Gene and Mike. I know Leroy, Andy and Gerald. They are all fine men, vote out GENE AND MIKE. Show them that they were elected to represent us not for their own gain. Please vote and lets make a change. |

Vote out all incumbents! We need new ideas. Fresh perspectives and we need to get rid of the tired old regime!
We especially need to get rid of Larry Waters, his yes man, Phil King and Hoss (how much does his health insurance cost the taxpayers?) Seals. Vote out all incumbents! |
Kent Woods should have opposition!
True, he doesn't have an opponent, too bad. He looks out for Kent, more than we can share with you - he can turn on a dime when Parton and Waters threaten his chance at jobs with the county, reacts to criticism and Lord knows he isn't above turning a critical eye on others, he earns these dues! He has much in his favor, does he think of the common man, apply the Golden Rule, or, is it all about Kent? Keep your eye on Kent, at some point we shall know him as he is known by some. Could he be viewed as a controlling, inconsiderate, manipulating individual - do his constituients know him, really? |

Hillard started out as most do with the right intentions, but has become spineless as are most of the others. Bryd is recovering and on his Facebook page tells everyone they can get a yard sign at Northview Fire Department. I think that if someone were to look into this, he is violating election laws using the department for a campaign headquarters. He is on the board of directors of the NVFD. Waters wants rid of Gene and Gene is up Hossie's a$$. He will be gone this time |
Judged: 1 Now you all need to elect that queer feller Brad Lowe for county mayor then between him and Dolly you will have a matched set of queers running your county. |
Who is Andy? And who is Troy Sellers that is running too |
