Because we have experienced a couple of drunken assaults on and in the wineries themselves, we now have a problem. There has been an ever increasing problem on all of our roads around the Finger Lakes, ie 14 and 414 and 89 every weekend when those drunks are driving and not being driven. Any resident around the Finger Lakes can attest to the vehicles bouncing off both sides of the road with their turning flashers on, then no turning or turning without flashers etc. Xams 2007 I was driving North of Hector on rt 414, a car in front of me kept putting on their turn signals, putting two wheel off the right side, then pulling back onto 414, turning off the signal and continue North. After 5 of these, I told my young daughter, who was with me, that the next time, if we could, I would apass them. It happened, except this time when I drew along side to pass while they were off the right side, they took a 90 across the road in front of me causing an accident. they were very obviously drinking and the husband told his wife to shut up when she started yelling. the Seneca County Sherrif didn't give me a ticket but wrote up the accident as my entire fault. Over the years I have witnessed dozens of these drunks travelling our high ways but because it's good for business, we are doing nothing about it. Now, because an "ower" was beaten, it's an issue.
