Our state workers in Ca. are inept at best. Without competion, these so-called workers, become arrogant and lazy. Their unions are all fighting for the same tax dollar by paying off are elected officials. It takes 10 people to d the job of one peson. Inefficiancy at it's worst. Instead of serving the pubic, all their energy is spent saving their own unecessary, tax-sucking jobs at the expense of the the people who supposedely can't live without them. All I see is endless waste by people creating their own work under the mask of altruism. Let's see how much you really care about your fellow man and take a pay cut. As far as I,m concerned min. wage is too much. I've seen people try harder for less. Good job Arnold, its about time someone had the guts to stand up to these worthless, self-serving unions and the prostitutes they pay. Keep pushing that boot straight up their u-know what's.

Why does not Schwarzenegger lower the price of gasoline along with wages and pensions? Lowering the price of gasoline and oil, will give Californians more money to pump into the economy and pull the economy out of the recession. It is the high cost of oil that is prolonging the recession, increasing inflation and it is driving businesses away from California, not taxes. For California to remain competitive, Schwarzenegger must lower the cost of energy.

He worked out so much, the muscles displaced the neurons in his skull.

He made Jesse Ventura look like a genius.

His governmorship should be renamed "Preditor."

Expedient Republicans didn't care if one wasn't a conservative, didn't care if one didn't believe in god, didn't care that one took steroids and drugs, didn't care if one was a woman molester...just find someone who could win for a change. Those are the Republican ethics!!!

While there are some State employees who are "inept", how dare you (in all your ignorance) state something you know nothing about.
We (State Workers) do the work private-entity employees refuse to do....and for less!
People like you complain about gangs on the streets and want to lock up the baddies, but complain when your taxes have to pay for the people who keep baddies locked up. People like you complain about having no place to "take your family on vacation" but complain when State Parks increase their fees. You and every other jerk on your side want "safe crops" on their tables, but b**ch when you see State Dept of Agriculture trucks are parked on the side of the road.
Those on your side, want the State to take care of you, but don't want to pay for it. Guess what? That's not how it works!
We (State Workers) have bit the bullet despite the fact that an eff'd up budget is because law makers (some of whom you've voted for!) can't get their acts together.
We're held hostage, because we're convenient.
So....bite me (A STATE WORKER)!

If taking money from working families (in most cases over 50%) was the LAST HOPE, then our PAID officials aren't thinking hard enough.

The folks who would be paid minimum wage are ONLY those whose unions hadn't signed anything, yet. NOT those who pandered to an Machiavellian governor who pursues milking the weak and NOT imposing these penalties on staff of polititians.

Get your facts straight, drama-queen!

I think that people have no clue about what it is like to be a state worker. As evidenced by some of these comments, they have to put up with ignorance on a daily basis. I have had issues with state workers, but haven't we all had problems with people in private business! To clump together a group is the wrong approach. It's short sighted and ignorant.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Pisces

Having to bow down to convention or limitations is enough to make you want to scream right now, and you'll do your utmost to rebel in any way you can. Be careful about this because you could easily get on the wrong side of someone who has power or authority over you. It feels as though you're battling with forces that want to keep you under control, and you don't like it one bit.
