So VDOT has 74M to spend on widening I81 but can't keep rest stops open due to lack of funds?????

WAY TO GO VDOT. MONEY TO WASTE. It goes to show they can cry for money being short but all at once they have more then they know what to do with. PUT A TROLL ON THAT ROAD AND LET THAT MONEY PAY FOR IT. Why should we pay for something a lot of people don't use or have anything to do with that road.WHEN SNOW AND ICE COMES THIS WINTER THEY WILL NOT HAVE MOENY TO KEEP THE ROADS CLEARED OFF FOR SAFE DRIVING. IF gas keep going like it is there isn't going to need a use for this because they are going to be alot less traffic on that road or any other one.

What I-81 needs is a limited access lane in the middle for the thru-traffic. The trucks make a lot fewer stops than the cars do. Big problem is all the bridges in the southern part of the Valley. Does anyone wonder if the Obama administration has been taking cues from VDOT (how to waste large amounts of money)? I think Richmond could save us all a lot of tax dollarsaif they took a close look at VDOT.
