Truck Stops Hope To Uncover Highway Hazards

I was just thinking about Portland and all the big trucks that are almost a constant stream now on the narrow street that goes through the middle of town along with all the town's regular traffic. I'm thinking, it's just a matter of time before there will be a wreck with a tanker or some truck carrying hazardous materials right in the middle of town. It would be tragic to wait till something like that happens to do something about the situation. Truck inspections need to be done on an ongoing basis..not just for a few days.

I live in Portland & I drive a big rig, the streets in Portland are not wide enough for the cars much less big rigs, If they make a bypass around Portland that would fix the problem, Checking tankers & trucks carrying haz mat won't fix the small town problem, they are suppose to have a routs that they go by & if the town doesn't want a wreck in the town then they just need to put up signs saying no haz mat comming throug, but if the town wants fuel delivered then what can you do about that? It's not allways the trucks causing the problem, stop and look at what we have to drive in to deliver your goods because WITHOUT TRUCKS AMERICIA STOPS think about that before you condem the trucks, Now that is my opinion just put yourself in our shoes, inspections won't stop the matter,
