These are my opinions. I welcome yours. 1)A human died. Why should we feel anything less than tragic for such reports? 2)I thank 'TINFOIL' for not replying a second time to 'WAKE UP SHEEPLE'. I mean no disrespect to neither person. I think the topic we are replying to should be the focal point. Not go off into other wide-opened topics is all i'm saying. 3) Drinking and driving don't mix but are VERY common in our society. It doesn't mean the person is a bad person. They were likely trying to cope with their life's problems. And believe it or not,... there are people in the church that drink in private to escape their own issues. 4)I am a firm believer in leaving a lasting memory of someone. I hope the family steps up,... no matter how good or bad the deceased was to them,... and cement a positive lasting memory for them. Sometimes the deceases lead a horrid life and was very nasty. But they took the little ol' lady to church everyday for a year when her car broke down. We all have lasting memories. I hope the family does not allow the media to dictate what his OBITUARY reads. Even if he didn't lead a God fearing life. 5)I have spent most of my life in Catholic schools. I believe in them to a degree. One of the number one reasons I do not go to church as an adult is because many church members seem to be the most disrespectful, prejudicial and ignorant to their peers. Instead, I buy the old lady's groceries that is behind me in the checkout line. I foot the bill at a restaurant for the lonely man in the corner that looks sad. I always try and do this anonymously. Try it sometime. I just did this last night again. Those are my opinions. I now welcome yours. Most Respectfully, Marysville

Marysville Edison, OH This is for you, Sir or Madam.......you are an inspiration to me. I will try to emulate your example. P.S. My wife and I gave two complete turkey dinners to our local food bank (which made ours taste so much better) and have bought various items for older folks in front of us while in a line at fairs, etc., but I had not thought of buying gorceries for said people.....until now.

drinking and driving ARE common but we are given sensible rules to live by(for a reason) and if you gamble with those rules you MAY loose. God does not interfere,I believe, but once again gives the rules to live by and they can keep you HAPPY (yes I AM happy)and healthy and its obviously common for people to be AMAZED such a tragedy happens when someone has gambled with the rules. the victim chose to behave this way and I hope other humans that see this might get a clue and be more likely to live.

Bill was a fine person who made a mistake. Did you know that he was a fire fighter? He risked his life every day for the likes of some of you. He will certainly be missed.

At least he only took himself out. With being drunk and speeding he could have easily taken out innocent people.

Bill was a very good person with a very kind heart. If anyone was in peril he would be there for them.I will miss Bill and I am not alone. How could anyone post some of the negativity I am reading. He deserves more respect than that.My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

Wow, I didn't think googling my fathers name would bring me to this! for those of you with kind words thank you! We all know what an amazing man he was! This was never the way would have ever expected to loose him! He was dependable, loving, Mr.fix it I called him! Yes, his choice that night... Well.. hard to forgive! He knew better, he taught me better! But it was a tragic moment, however, sue and rigo??? I find it hard to believe you never made a stupid mistake that changed something in your life! It may not have taken it like my fathers, but changed it none the less! Trust me no one is happier that no one was hurt besides my father, then my father!!! He was the man who stoped for every stranded moterist, went out of the way for every single friend, well known, very well like and loved! He would have never hurt a single thing! God he beat himself up for accidently hitting a goose with a bea bea gun trying to scare them off our pond! For those of you who are here to judge shame on you! Because I'm sure there are moments that you are ashamed of, whish to forget, regret!!! His will forever be leaving his family! Mine will be not realizing that morning was not our normal, that there was something wrong, that instead of argueing with him about dishes, telling him I love him! I miss him everyday! I love you dad! thank you for every single thing you have given me!!!

Posters need to remember that these are not just stories with fictious people in the news. They are REAL people, with family, friends and coworkers who cared about them. If your comments aren't appropriate or nice enough for someone's loved ones to read, then please keep them to yourself and spare the feelings of those who must read nasty comments from people who judge their loved ones, people they don't even know and who didn't know Bill! Bill was truly the most caring person. He showed it in every aspect of his life and without prejudice of any kind. For the rude posters of this story, you had better hope that if you are ever in need of any kind public safety employee, that you get someone half a good as Bill, because quite honestly despite how inconsiderate you have been, Bill would want the best care even for you!
