Jeff Hardy has the Support Endorsements from I.U.P.A. Fla Local 6000 AFL-CIO Coastal Fla Police Benevolent Assoc Fla Police Benevolent Assoc Fla State Lodge Fraternal Order of Police Fla State Lodge District 2 Fraternal Order of Police Plus the support of many in law enforcement(FHP,retired and former PCSO Officers) check his contributors list. My guess is that Taylor would have to admit he made a mistake four years ago. Not sure he is credible. |

1 Read deeper, if you will, into the statement made by Taylor Douglas in today's Palatka Daily News article: "I'm supporting Dean Kelly from the standpoint that I believe he's the most qualified candidate." Taking into consideration that Dean HAS been sitting in the Sheriff's chair, "acting" (in his mind) as Sheriff for three and a half years, he does appear to be more qualified of the two.(between he & Hardy) However, he has, in MANY opinions, run the agency into the ground and made MANY questionable decisions. Which of the incumBENT's qualities outweighs the other? His arrogance and lack of effective leadership abilities or his "experience" running the Sheriff's Office into the ground? Taylor was also quoted as saying: "I retired to get myself out of politics, but apparently I haven't been very successful." Could it be possible that Dean underhandedly drug him back in with threats of exposing some dealings long ago? Not saying that Taylor has done anything illegal or immoral, but maybe Dean's thinks he's got something on Taylor that could cause a blemish on his legacy. Just sayin'.... Could it be possible? I still respect Taylor Douglas. It's his integrity on the line. However, I have personally talked to many of his longtime supporters & they were "iffy" about his decision to back Kelly four years ago. Now, they've seen the results and are not pleased with Kelly's job as Sheriff. Many have openly, & some not so openly, expressed support for Jeff Hardy this time. We'll see how it turns out on the 26th. |

1 I've heard the same thing. Beck told one of Kelly's staffers that if he didn't like the staff changes Hardy made (should he win) just to call him(Beck) and he'd handle it. |

1 Finally, someone with some common sense!!! Thank You Mr.Preston! See Dean, even those in your own league think of you as a has been! OH GOSH! I am so sorry,Fraternal Order of Police isn't your league! HMMMM...rats,skunks,Simmons,ro aches, snakes,Raul, well, you catch my drift. Dean, has gotten it around the SO that, if Jeff is elected, then he's going to fire people.THAT's CRAP!!! Dean got that rumor flying back in 2004. When Dean took office, people lost their positions and were demoted, their job made so difficult people quit or he flat out fired them!! I worked for the twirp,I know!!! Dean smiles to your face then puts a sword in your back. Let me give you a bit of future advice Dean...The toes you step on today maybe toting the butt you'll have to kiss tomorrow!!! Pucker up and get ready Dean, you got a job ahead of you!!!!! |

On the radio forum today, Mr. Hardy was asked about his experience in supervising the Jail and he replied that he didn't have that experience. What experience does he have managing a large budget and supervising more than thirty people?
