Preston County Teacher Accused of Murder Appears in Court

Who really cares about what kind of guy Mr. DeGasperin is. What about Lori and Collin? She was a great girl with a baby on the way and Collin... what a beatuiful well behaved child. Who really gives a hoot about the man that killed them. I think he needs to be put to death. Let's talk about what great people Lori and Collin were and how their family's are now devistated. Come on! Where are the photos of Lori and Collin? Why are they not in the paper with articles about what great people they were?

Lori was a known drug abuser. It is probably best for her family that this doesn't turn into a soap opera and have the deceased's name dragged through the mud.

Whether or not lori has taken drugs is not the point besides have you seen the stats on drug users. I hate to say it but it is a somewhat common thing now adays. Lori, Collin, and Baby Angelina didn't deserve any of this. How dare you have the gull to say well lori was a drug users. Does that mean (to you in your sick mind) she deserved to be brutally and savagely beaten to death by a sicko man!!!! What about baby Angelina and poor little ray of sunshine Collin!!!!!!

I send all my prayers to the casteel and the degasperin family.that was a horrible murder.I have heard that jim was popped up on drugs and went into a rage.what if this would of happened when he was teaching our children.there needs to be drug testing in the schools.

thanks Brian, i know you love Lori and Collin as much as me. She was so beautiful and lovable; she was my closest friend. And Collin, such a gorgeous baby, I've known him since the second he was born. I was so excited for Angelina to come. It still hurts so much, and for some nobody to come on here and talk shit about my girl; shut up Press, you don't know what you're talking about.

I knew Lori, she was a very nice girl.I met her a few years ago, and I use to stop and say hi to her, every time I was threw there.She did not deserve what happen to her.No-one dose.I will miss her.I will miss her smile the most.I hadn't seen her in months.She called me a month before this happend,and ask me to come and see her.she said,I've not seen you in months.Will you come and see me.I said yea when I get time off work,I will.I wish I did now.

What does it matter if she was on drugs are not half the people in the world are on drugs. Does that make it right? I knew lori and her son. Lori was a great person that everybody liked. He had no right taking thier lives. If you didn't know here don't say nothing about her. She was a great mother and friend. Don't trash talk since she is gone. She does have loved ones that read this crap. Its called RESPECT use it

Lori was a good mom. Ask anyone that knew her. For you to say that just shows that you listen to the BS that some people say. What happened was wrong and James DeGasperin should have to pay for it ten fold. No one should have something like that done to them let alone a pregnant woman and her little boy.

Mr.DeGasperin was my teacher for three years and he also went to school with my mom and dad. He and my mom had a relationship in high school. When I heard about this I really couldn't believe it. My jaw dropped, because Mr.D was a really good teacher, but I think these people are right. Lori and Colin's pictures should be in the paper and people should worry about them and quit worrying about Mr. DeGasperin. Obviously he wasn't that good of a guy if he can snap and kill people he loved that easy and not even feel bad about it. He didn't appear to me as that kind of a guy, but I guess that I was wrong.

I miss her so much. It seems unfair someone so positive and beautiful be taken away. It is inconceivable how many people were hurt by this.

I happened upon this site just reading the news and It is just so hard to even put into word's a way to say how wrong the "known drug user" comment is. It was and is a tragedy for everyone. My heart, prayers, and thoughts go out to the family and friends.

I knew the DeGasperin Family. Good people with solid values. What a terrible terrible shame for them.

They haven't lost nearly as much as Lori's family
