Strip Club Controversy in Pike County

a strip club should definitely not be put in greentown...i live here && i dont want people coming back from bars && watching my friends strip on bars just to get some extra cash...they should put something useful there!!!

I am a new resident of Greentown. I chose to live here because it is a quiet holsom place to raise a family. Now it will be destroyed by a revolting "gentlemen's club." I can't believe they call it that in the first place. No gentlemen I know would set foot in a discusting place like that!

I'm a 24 year old that lives in the Greentown area and I can't wait for this thing to get in there. It'll finally get a little fun in this town! Whoop Whoop!

Wake up people! The only noise a strip club makes is inside the club. If you are not interested in this type of entertainment, then don't go! Why should you seek to prevent others from enjoying the entertainment they want? I'm not a fan of these places, but don't want my preferences to stop others. Stop trying to control others and force your likes and dislikes on them!

I live in Greentown and I have absolutely no problem with the Strip Club. I noticed one resident said that there were enough Bars around and they did not want the "type of people" that the Strip Club would attract". My reply to this is WAKE UP!... the type of people going to this place would most likely be your husband or neighbor, and I don't think you think they are so bad! We all need to understand that NORMAL people do enjoy going to strip clubs. You are more likely find a lower quality of person hanging out in one of the local bars, than you would in this 1 strip club. I hope this thing gets approved and does well in the community.

all of you who are pro club should move. period. go where your views are accepted. We who have been here all our lives want to accept your view like we want gas at four bucks a gallon. i don't get it i'm a local for 25 years and i love this area but the area is not as quite as u think drugs are already over this area look at wallenpaupack high school and for the bars here all dives and the bartenders serve u untill u can't drink anymore.i'm not defending this club but look around u first.so lets start to clean up our community before we think one club will ruin it

This is just the fear of the unknown. I've lived in many areas that have clubs of all degrees of nudity. If you didn't inquire about the esablishment, you would hardly know it was there. This is not prostitution. I can see nudity in the privacy of my own home as well as the privacy of a club with tinted windows.

I say as long as it's well kept and kids can't get inside who cares. I think the question is, will this be a trashy club or a classier type.

I would bet most who are complaining are women, lol, go figure.

What are you worried about?? I'd LOVE to have a "gentlemen's" club in town. It get's pretty boring banging the same ol' guys. We need some fresh meat!!! I'd love to see some young, hot, Latino guy dancing under the lights, sweat pouring from his body, me anxiously looking at his "package" and his ass... Just hope my wife doesn't walk in.
