I can guarantee that 90% slowed to a point that they were looking for oncoming traffic, not concentrating on whether the wheels stopped turning. Be realistic. \ Stop is stop and they didn't stop. A stop sign doesn't mean slow down and proceed with caution if it did they would just put up yield signs at every intersection.

I would say you never have been in a city and watched traffic at stop signs before. Observe it for your self some day, you may be surprised on what you see. How many accidents will take place because of roll-stops. This is little old Island Pond with waaaay less traffic for goodness sakes. Mr. Miller went overboard, end of story!!!

Mr. Miller went overboard, end of story!!! i wonder if that is why they need so many traffic cops in your city..everyones been to the city and they will pull you over if you break their laws..there it would be more like running a red light, i don,t believe they look easily on light runners..same thing only different... a 3 man pd in ip and a constable(not waving at the tourist like he promised , there is no test for that) all to replace one man ....haw haw haw no we all look like idiots.....no income from teddys tickets but you see the property tax peeps coming around....you will pay for our new pd thankyou ip

I have no problem with tickets for those who do not stop at a stop sign. I have a problem with " you stopped but..." . Its black and white without any shades of gray. A roll is not a stop. A true stop is an absolute. In my opinion he often saw things the way he wanted and he overstepped his authority at times. Some folks see him as a good person. People disagree about Miller's veracity. He was going to retire at some point. I think 58 is a bit young , but he is retiring early and life goes on.

You are correct, but unfortunately Mr. Miller never took the time to read the red octagon sign with the blinking red right attached. He assumed it stated STOP when it actually clearly reads SLOW. You people have way too much time.

Please wait...
without Ted the town has seen more rif-raf on the streets as well as draggin down main st. Yeah, he may have overdone it a bit, but his presence kept things right. We probably could have avoided re-assesment of properties if we still had Teds revenue, oh well. It's up to us now to make the town thrive and make people want to come and spend $ on things other than sno mobilin too! The Arts are always good. A theatre, gallery, dance hall anything....
