Misty Croslin Speaks Out from Prison
She criticized investigators for focusing so much on her and not following up on possible new leads and sightings. She also claimed that if she knew anything, she would have told them by now, especially with the 25-year prison sentence she’s currently serving for drug trafficking.

In the interview, Croslin discussed her relationship with Ron Cummings, Haleigh’s father, who she married soon after the disappearance and has since divorced.“All he did was use me,” she said, calling the marriage “odd” but saying they did it because Ron thought he was going to go to jail for being in a relationship with a minor. Croslin was only 16 when they started dating.

At least those involved in Haleigh's death are apparently in prison. I can't believe none of them told on whomever did it, and what happened.

Updated: 8/10 7:21 pmWELAKA, Fla.-- It's one of the biggest unsolved mysteries our area has ever seen. Where is Haleigh Cummings?

It's been two and a half years since she vanished, and still no one knows the answer, but her family has never given up hope. There's a banner hung in their front yard, and to this day, they sit and wait for Haleigh to come home.

"You expect any minute to hear her coming through the door with that little that she always had, you know," said her great grandmother Annette Sykes.

Sykes says the two and a half years her great granddaughter has been missing has felt like an eternity. She keeps a room for Haleigh inside her house filled with toys, pictures, and still-wrapped Christmas presents. This is a family waiting for a little girl to come home, not waiting for a body to be found.

"Why would I believe my grandchild is deceased if I have absolutely no reason to?" she said.

Haleigh disappeared from her bed, in the middle the night. The last person to see her was her father's future wife, Misty Cummings. Detectives have long believed Misty knows what happened to Haleigh, but even as she sits behind bars on a drug trafficking conviction, she has yet to tell anybody anything that could give Haleigh's family some comfort.

"We're still waiting," said Sykes.

Detectives ruled Haleigh's death a homicide a little more than a year ago. Without a body, Sykes refuses to believe that, "There is absolutely nothing, no proof, nothing to prove that she is not alive."

Until they get that proof, they wait. Keep her picture public. Gather the community in prayer. And hope one day, we'll all know the truth about what happened to Haleigh. "Don't forget our little girl. Don't forget she's out there somewhere," said Sykes.

HaLeigh Cummings has been missing since 2-10-09 from Satsuma,Fla.

Chelsea Croslin still has an active warrant from FL for failure to appear, she skipped out on her court date for her drug charge.
