with the tough economy I can relate to this article. You have to do alot of searching before buying.I found a pre owned laptop at www.techtradepartners.com and it even came with a warranty.

I get over 40 channels of free HD programming OTA that I can watch (streaming)on my computer,my grandfathered unlimited 3g iPad/iPhone and wifi using slingplayer here at home,anyplace, or anywhere in the world.
I can watch streaming movies or tv shows with Hulu,Vudu,Amazon,Netflix,etc. on my computer,iPhone,and iPad at home,anyplace,or anywhere in the world.
I read paper books,Ebooks and listen to audiobooks.
Also have a Slingbox in my home in Switzerland so I can watch Sky TV on my computer,iPhone,and IPad here in Tulsa using Slingplayer.
Can watch many cable/sat. tv shows from their website or app.

All of this cost me between $9 and $16/month.

And I don't even own a TV or converter box.
