I am not saying I am right. I do think we need to begin a dialogue and honest conversation about parenting children. What works, what does not work. If your children are not priority one they will seek to be that elsewhere.JMO.
Many of us worked. Had to work wanted. Needed to work. I get that but somehow we progressed from that to a society where parents ,not just women, do not contemplate the real ramifications of having children and all that it entails.
We borrowed our model from Russia and China in the late 60's and 70s. Lets re-think our own values. Is it really necessary to warehouse kids in daycares? Some programs are exceptional but many are not. Perhaps a few PSAs about the subject? Some open dialogue?
In order to have better adults we have to raise better children!
I realize many wonderful people who overcome adversity and become wonderful adults. But a whole lot more do not. I'm not sure parents staying home is the answer either.is there a happy medium? Anyone?

My niece is breastfeeding and she and baby are so bonded. She arranged 6 months family leave. When mommy is suddenly jerked away after that period is up how will baby feel? I hope the new Escalade and the power suit can assuage her conscience. I know I sound horrible. We care more about our things than who is minding our wee ones.

Ohio man accused of prostituting adopted son.

Federal and local law enforcement officials said they're widening the investigation into child sexual exploitation allegations against an adoptive father charged with raping three boys in his care.

Officials said the father hired one of the boys, a 10-year-old, out for sex, prostituting him. The father and two other men remained in jail Thursday on rape charges. The father's name is being withheld by The Associated Press to protect the children's identities.

Lots of bad weather all around us, but bad weather in my county is expected closer to dark. Not nice to sneak in here at dark. Most of the tornado`s today are rain wrapped - makes `em harder to see.
