This is an excellent article! While there are a few similarities between LGB and T, there are enough significant differences to show that we're different breeds of cats. I had this forcibly driven home one time in a Gay bar in Asbury Park. NJ. I was there to visit my friend, Lynn Anne, who worked there as a barmaid. This was in the early 80s and I was not "en femme". Lynn had a new skirt she was showing me and the guy next to me commented "I don't know why "He" has to do that!" Clearly, we were miles apart! Very little, since then has occurred to change the perceptions formed that night. We've been told we were comrades underneath it all, only to be thrown under the bus
later. Furthermore, all progress we've enjoyed has been achieved by other "Trans" folks who've gone before us. People like Virginia Prince, lynn Conway, Christine Jorgenson, Phyllys Randolph Frye, and every transexual who's ever been arrested on a trumped up "morality" charge.
Further more, we destroy our credibility by allying ourselves with the Gay population and the feeling is mutual on their part. So Breaking with the Gays will be a good thing all the way around.
