Kudos to the League of Women Voters for standing up against this unconstitutional and un-American threat to democracy.

Photo IDs strip the right to vote from undocumented workers. Denying them the right to vote is a clear sign that the right-wing Supreme Court is attempting to rig yet another presidential election.

THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS "ILLEGAL." WE'RE ALL AMERICANS. LET EVERYONE VOTE.

Voter fraud doesn't normally occur around here. I agree ,you should be required to show a photo id with your signature.
Why do you think in the west Virginia primary it took till 1:00 am to get a count from the county bordering Chicago ? Cematary votes.

Santa,

You have the same name as my deceased and sainted mother.

However, you state that ...."the three key justices found that the burden was not 'excessively burdensome.' This finding is intellectually as well as morally bankrupt."

Well first of all I disagree with your characterization of the finding of the court.

The fact is ID have always been a part of our voting system. That is why our voting system has a reputation for the highest integrity.

You forget several minor and key points. The fact is being poor does not mean you cannot identify yourselves. I know many people who are "poor" by today's standards. I don't know of anyone who does not have ID. You need ID to get any kind of government aid. Including SS, disability, food stamps, etc.

No one can function in today's society without proper ID irregardless of economic status.

Another thing is that you missed is that some groups have offered to pay for ID of those "poor" who cannot afford to pay for ID.

But I suspect that if a poor person does not have ID and does not get one legally, the chances are he knows he does not deserve one for one reason or another. And as such he does not have the right to vote if he is not a responsible citizen. Individual responsiblity is also a requirement you seem to ignore.

The fact is "the three key justices found that the burden was not 'excessively burdensome.' This was done after a thorough review of all the evidence brought before the court.

The Supreme Court has ruled on this issue and has supported the long tradition of high integrity in our voting system.

ID has always been required when voting. It is only reasonable and is not an undue burden on anyone, even those who cannot afford it. Most of those already have ID for reasons I stated above.

So, the rule of law is what governs all society. We need to obey laws including those in the minority, like you, who disagree with it. That's how our democracy works.

This was a just decision and the League of Women voters is wrong on this issue. The League should support all laws even though as a minority they may disagree with it. ID has always been and has just been confirmed once again, that Law of the Land.

God Bless America.

Voter fraud usually works like this. You get a bunch of dishonest people to vote for you more than once. How? Ferry them around to multiple precincts having them vote under multiple names. Since an ID isn't required, real easy. Right Eddie?

The requirements of Indiana's voter photo-ID was well publicized since I moved here two years ago.

A free photo ID is available at all motor licence branches. In fact, all licence branches were open extra hours on the weekend and monday before the election just to give voters a chance to get a driver license or the free ID.

I hope this moron is kidding... "Photo IDs strip the right to vote from undocumented workers." !?!?!? Undocumented workers HAVE TO RIGHT TO VOTE!!!!! They are not citizens of this country!!!!! You can not participate in an election of ANY country of which you are not a citizen. That is the point of the photo ID... securing the voting process to only those who are permitted to vote. This is the type of person that absolutley justifies photo ID voting requirements. Thanks for making the case. No go back home to whatever country you belong in...
