He talks about his family tree and his "family" being Circuit Clerks and he just wants to follow in their footsteps. He don't know how that office is run, it has went to h*** in a hand basket since he took over. As Tammy said, if you are in the courtroom, Gary is sitting there, there is nothing hard about that, just sit and reach things to the Judge, if court is not in session, you can find him running around the hallways instead of being in the office. I believe the Circuit Clerk should actually work and be in the office with their employees like Ms. Gower did. I say just give it to someone that can actually do the job and keep it running smoothly. Thank goodness May 13th is just around the corner!

I think Nicholas County needs a change and election is coming up. When the Magistrate Court Clerk retired, Judge Johnson appointed to fill the vacancy. 2 from the office applied, he said he had to go with the one with more experience. Then when the Circuit Clerk retired, 2 from the office applied and one had 18 years experience, the other had 9.... guess which one was appointed? the one with 9 years! Also, a month or so ago, the Nicholas Chronicle printed a picture of Sheriff Bennett signing a declaration supporting our troops..... however, he has told numerous people that he would NEVER hire someone in the military ever again. Hummm.. must be election year! And did your realize that in 2 years Judge Johnson will retire and he has stated that Greg Tucker shall be appointed. Now Larry Tucker is running for County Commission, but if he should win, can a convicted felon actually hold office or will that spot be filled by appointing someone else of their chosing? Possibly a LeRose?
