Say hello to 459 and 959. Beginning in 2010, people living in the 203-area code who get new phone numbers can be assigned the new area code 459, state regulators said in a draft decision issued Monday.

So basically if I were to move into my own place after I graduate in 2010, even if I live in the same town as my parents, I'd still have to pay LONG DISTANCE??

It is still a local call you just need to dial 10 digits instead of 7.
