Amorynet Sucks! network don't stay up half the time and no one seems to be supporting it. A friend of mine was getting Amorynet for a while, and then they moved the wireless internet box from his lightpole. He was told that Amorynet dod not have permission to get on the Monroe County Power Poles.. Even when it works it's only up about 1/2 the time.

I have to agree. I was one of those that jumped on the idea of not having to pay for DSL internet for my business in hopes to save a penny. Did not take me very long before I called my ISP back and was proud to pay for the service I was getting before. It's also an un-secured network which opens you up to identity theft, and someone being able to obtain you personal dat.

I'm an AmoryNet user and can't argue with what you wrote. The wireless service is down too much and when it's up it's constantly disconnecting, the speed also varies from slower than 56K dialup to possibly half the speed the DSL I had before I switched to AmoryNet. The thing is though, is that it's free. Those who aren't willing to put up with the problems can always go back to what they were paying for and will have lost nothing.

I use AmoryNet and for the past month the support has gotten better, they finally have someone local. I use it with all of my devices, laptop phone, desktop. I understood that when I signed I would have to use the right equipment to get a good stable signal and since I have done what the support technician requested I have had very good service. So If your using what you have been told to use by your buddy you should probably call someone that knows what their talking about.
