Tater Day - Rebel Flag

Rebel flags are stupid and they show just how uninformed people are about the civil war. The yanks won. The south won't rise again.

Had a GREAT time last night. Tony Logue band was awesome, food was excellent and watching the trucks with the flags not causing any problems was great....can't wait for the parade!

I live in Benton KY,I believe the rebel flag should not be flown,it belongs in a museum and not on the back of some truck,not all Marshall co. ppl are racist,most are not,atleast I hope!besides Ky isn't even a southern state,maybe they missed that history lesson,the only ones that actually fly the flag are dumbass high school kids doing it just to do it!I also believe that it's disrespectful to the real old glory,and to all the soldiers that fight under it across seas!The word treason comes to mind!!

I believe the Rebel Flag should be flown all the time. It is a symbol of the heritage of the southern states, not hate. All of yall need a history lesson. I fly them all the time.

here is a free history lesson THE CIVIL WAR WAS NOT STARTED OVER SLAVERY. slavery was added later to get people to support the war because people were quickly losing support and belief in the war.the war was started because as usual the yanks were money hogs and wanted to screw us out of ours

I think you need some help. Problems like racism are all over and in fact there is a big problem with reverse racism. If you don't like Marshall Co stay away and find a better cause that makes more sense.

The rebel flag has been under attack since the civil war. It is everyones right to fly whatever flag they want to. I happen to fly the nautical flag.... you know with the achor and circle of stars. If I flew the jolly roger, does that mean that I am an acctual pirate? It is ironic that people say the rebel flag is about racism, MOST people dont know that it has been well documented that some black people had slaves of their own, but you dont here about that.

I'm not from Marshall co originally. I came here from Ohio years ago. I think it's awesome that country boys want to fly their rebel flags at tater day. It doesn't mean their racist, it means they are proud of their heritage and want to celebrate it. People over react about everything in this county. Let them boys be boys! It's not hurting anyone. When I see them flags and hear them loud trucks, i know tater day is right around the corner:)
