Ten candidates vye for City Council seats

Ray Lacy ,owner of THE OFFICE SHIPPING STORE
recently received over 400.00 dollars to ship a 98 year old victrola to florida , a family treasure .
The victrola was insured for 1500.00 dollars.
The victrola arrived at its destination on time .
Upon inspection it was learned that the package had major damage .

UPS investigated and found Ray lacy failed to follow there shipping guidelines and denied the claim .
Mr Lacy appealed the decision several times with the same result .
During this time the owners tried to reach Mr. lacy for comment to no avail .
Finally on July 9th we called Mr. Lacy to find out how he was going to make this very poor situation right .
Mr.Lacy has decided to blame the victims for his incompetency ,He claims that we are the ones at fault , even though he packed it and shipped it and insured it at our cost !
Mr. lacy has decided to not pay the claim for the damage that he is alone responsible for , go figure !!!!!!
Mr. Lacy does not deserve to represent the people Of Fernley as a city council member .

He clearly cares for no one else other than himself .
My mother who is a cancer survivor and long time resident of Fernley depended on Ray Lacy to take the best of care shipping this package, he has let us all down by not taking the high road and excepting responsibility , consider this when considering your next council person !!

I would like to thank Mr David for his letter.
First of all The contract was with David's wife.
Mr David would not let us handle the claim process of getting the claim done with UPS. Like the contract states The Office will handle all contact with carriers. Everytime I talked with UPS Mr David had to know what was going on, Mr. David would call UPS and add items that were not true. I can understand people like to get things done fast. But by calling UPS it did add drama
The Office is still working on the claim with UPS. We do take care of our customers, there is only so much can be done at a time. We are still in contact with UPS about this matter. It would help if Mr. David would let us handle this and not contract UPS

Mrs. David was asked toget two bids on fixing the item that was damaged. At this time no bids have come back to me.
