I know all this stuff with pills drugs and money problems needs to be resolved, but why make it such a huge deal, aren't we all guilty of the victim of our own personalities? Michael Jackson is a huge artist and lover of life, his thinking and acting will never match any others just like ours. Let us keep our dignity and praise the person for who he really was, one of the great artists/dancers we had and we should be proud of that. That is what should be remembered. Michael had a very difficult life and childhood and that haunted him for the rest of his life, a person is shaped by his own experiences and childhood should be pure and that has been taken away from him. I think we should give the man the dignity he deserves.

This situation is so tragic. There needs to be a hearing on Capitol Hill to question some of these people in the entertainment industry about how
celebrities gain improper access to these medications not only through willing doctors but willing lawyers, nurses, personal trainers, etc... This is an entire underworld culture of perscription drugs. There needs to be more regulation.

Why? Celebrities are big boys and girls (for the most part), and they're perfectly capable of figuring out things for themselves. If they choose to listen to the devils whispering in their ear about how so-and-so drug will make all their troubles go away, well that's their own damn fault. Presuming that the government wants (or cares) to regulate drugs that are legal, merely to keep a few musicians, actors and the like from sucking a few dozen pills down their throats every day is silly. Why should the government be expected to monitor the maturity levels of American adults to make sure they're following the rules like good little boys and girls? That's called a nanny state, and I for one wouldn't want to live there.

People do what they do, and they always have, regardless of a government's attempt to control it. We're just wired that way.

I dont think they know what is going on with this story. They want to make Michael look like the bad person. And with the kids I think they need to go to their mom.

They need to let him be they are trying to make MJ look like the bad person. Maybe they need to lie test the doc. that was living with him. I think the doc. did something to MJ. And as for the kids they need to go to the mothers or mothers of the kids.

Drugs? He was white as snow, I mean bleached white as snow until certain allegations,ended a world tour with him addicted. No matter about his appearence, he was a black man. The real scandal is coming with genetic testing to show that the children are not related to anyone in the family. Who gets custody then? Adopt kids, do not pretend to be the father.

I'd be happy to let MJ rest in peace, but until the press finally shuts up and moves on, that ain't gonna happen. Guess I'll have to pull out my old DVDs of The X-Files and have a marathon for the next week or so. Maybe then, Access Hollywood will have found another celebrity death to drool over. Jackals and vultures, the lot of them.

MJ had what used to be called manic-depression and so does his sisters Janet and Latoya. He was on treatment but he gained weight to about 170 lbs. He did not like it and so stopped the medications just like Mariah Carey stopped hers after her 2001 fiasco.

Instead he grew to like medications with euphoric side effects such as Xanax and opiates. He prefered the neuroleptic used in rapid induction of anesthesia called Propofol probably due to its Cannabis-like effects.

He was not escaping his African heritage. He was trying to look perfect in the public eye with a skin disfiguring autoimmune disease called vitiligo (leucoderma). Deeply pigmented people with that disease look like they are burn victims. That would not have done for a celebrity for obvious reasons. He could not transplant melanin cells to the deprived areas in a uniform way. Therefore, the better treatment strategy was to take a drug and kill all the melanin cells leaving him without pigment on the skin which he did.

Now people with Lupus and all autoimmune diseases have pain in the muscles and joints. Wronglfully, many ignorant physicians take to prescribing them Opiates which themselves generate pain in the higher brain centers. This causes tachyphylaxis and tolerance which leads to needing more and more of the opiate in a vain attempt to assauge their complaints. No doubt this played a role in what became of MJ.

I think someone needs to look into celebrities like Michael Jackson and Anna Nicole Smith having access to bucket-loads of prescription medications. It's criminal and someone should be held accountable.
