Did you read that story about a guy who robbed a phamacy of over 800 Oxy Contin pills? Thay said it was worth 1500 dollars. More like 15,000 Dollars right? He just handed the pharmacist a note with tweezers and said "gimme all you pain pill or get hurt" I think it was an inside job and was told when all the oxys were coming in.

I think it is funnier that this must be the first "tweezer holdup" in the world. I am never gonna trust a person buying them at the store from now on.

Is a tweezer considered a weapon? I am just wondering if this guy gets caught, can he be charged with armed robbery, or just a strongarm robbery? Any of you attorneys out there?

LMBO.. You can't give a pain pill addict enough to kill them..They can take 50 or more each day.

Hi Ruby..Nice seeing you as well. I'm sad to say that I am serious about the pain pills. We also have a problem with Dr.'s handing them out to anybody who asks. Some of the blame comes back to them. There's just no reason for a 20 something kid to be prescribed 4 pain pills per day unless they are termanilly ill.dr's do that and the young people become addicted. It leads to crime as well. We have a huge problem in Southern WV.

I'm originally from Florida, where this orginated.
It has destroyed my hometown.
"They" knew it was a problem as far back as the early
90's. It generated a LOT of tax revenue~~
There's hardly a day that goes by that someone doesn't
die from it, especially young people~~some just trying it
for the first time.

I live about 45 minutes away from eastern KY. Almost every day I see that someone has been arrested for going to Florida and bring back Oxy Contin pills. I know a few people that are addicted to them. There's a new one around here called opana that has killed many young people as well as older ones. Most people around here are addicted to hydroconone. It's the ingredient that comes in Loratab, Loracet, and Vicodin. That's what most people start out using.

At least finally they are manufacturing them so they can't be shot up or snorted. I mean the op's & oc's so far. The hydro medications don't seem to satisfy the junkies. Unfortunately there will always be something!

The DEA should take every drug that is taken from criminals. Save them for,,, let's say 6 months to a year. Then have a national drug give away day in locked down facilities across America. One facility per 4 county area. Advertise it on tv n radio one month in advance to ensure every drug abuser hears about it. Then provide the drugs, syringes, crack pipes and everything needed. Then just kick back n let them all od. Who's gonna fund this event u ask? The taxpayers, I for one am all for it. Think about how much money we save long term. 85 percent of prison inmates r there on drug related charges, not to mention the peace of mind about theft, car accidents and are children being safe. I understand there is no such thing as a perfect world, but I do consider it a HUGE step in the right direction!!!!!!!!!

Apparently some can't read. ALL ABUSERS OD. Did u get it that time or should I contact the local pre-k teachers to simplify it further for you? Or you are one of them and just so high your reading comprehension skills are dramatically effected by lack of communication in your proprioceptors?

I agree soo much with every word you said doctors look at the southern states and see they can get rich quick here! just sign in pay your visit and they ask what you need today? and start writeing the scripts. they could care less about the patient! all they want is the cash for the visit! then if they satisfy you with your medication then they no you will return for more! they only want to get people hooked so they keep returning while they get rich! everyone knows if they DONT write what YOU want that person goes to a doctor that WILL... AND BUSINESS / PATIENT WILL BE LOST!

why cant they some way filter the system to see who writes the most substance controlled medication then take it from there! I hear doctors can only have xx amount of patients or only half of them can be controlled substance patients?BUT COULD THEY In that case they may not put so and so chart / history in the system and then xx amount of patients wil not be tracked? DOes pharmacy info link to doc's? I dont know how all that works but they have to be a way to see what doc's are doing...! help angie you seem to research lots of things! I dont know you I have just read your comments and they are GREAT INFORMATION!
