What happened?

Why is Tony not the new Mayor?

I could not be happier for all the dullards in Allentown.

You had two losers to choose from and you picked the loser you already know.

Great Job...

I couldn't be happier. Pawlowski has made A-town a safe place to live and we can only expect it to get better. Praise God!

So let's take this from a different perpective. Let's look at it from the Dem side, if Tony was a lib. The Dems would say that Allentown is a racist hate-filled city who will not accept a black mayor. It's funny to look at it from the Dem view of the world, but it's sad that their view is what it is.

The dems voted for the dem and the republicans wouldn't vote for a black republican. That's why the vote was so skewed.

The citizens would not vote for a black republican because there was no black republican in the race. There was only a black man impersonating a republican.

The heck with this black white bull, now I want to know what Palumpa and his economic destruction will do for the next four years to siphon monies from the Allentown budget to fill there own pockets. We all know he drives a toyota from future recipiants of the Exide site, now what is the E.D. going to do with the old Bennet site.

Mine was only a reply to a goof that basically claimed that racist democrats didn't vote for Tony. I only pointed out that Tony was the Republican, thus wouldn't have gotten the Democrat vote in the first place. I don't care if he's a RINO or not. That wasn't my point.

I'd expect a comment like this from the mayor's mother.

CORRECTO!
Hey, it's not the the Republicans are racist either, it's that this black man was not at all a strong candidate. If they had put up a strong black candidate, oh yes, he would have gotten the vote.

You are a moron, who obviously know nothing about what is going on. First of all, Phillips is NOT a Republican. He is a DemoRAT who just switched parties to avoid a primary battle with Pawlowski. Second, people voted for a black president, why would this be an issue? See, that really pisses me off. As*holes like you always pull the race card when something don't go your way. It couldn't be the fact that he sued the city of Allentown for not giving him a promotion, calling them racist.(I see why you like him, you have something in common.) Then he was messing around with that hispanic lady he met online, and when he got mad at her, threw her down on the ground, fracturing her arm. He is a total as*! That is why many people didn't vote for him. Another funny thing is, there are so many people complaining about this election, but with the city of Allentown having over 100,000 people, and only over 10,000 voting, most of you have no room to talk. If you didn't vote, and you don't like the results of the election, too bad, next time vote! As for me, I am a Republican, and I voted for Pawlowski. Say what you want, but he has been doing the crime sweeps, going after bad bar, and club owners, going after slumlords that bring our property values down, and he has kept out taxes down.

Yes, people did vote for a black president. Republicans didn't. And as much as people whine about Pawlowski, it didn't stop 76% from voting for him. No good republicans in Allentown? Bummer. Run a real one and still watch him lose.

Daily Horoscope for December 9

Capricorn

You're in an industrious mood but you'll be happiest if you can be left to your own devices as much as possible. It's not that you're feeling unfriendly, simply that you won't be able to concentrate very well if you're surrounded by lots of people. If you haven't even started writing your Christmas cards yet, try to remedy that at some point today.
