Well, that's what you get when you feed an infant human some processed crap made with the pus-filled byproduct of hundreds of diseased cows.

Ever heard of breast feeding? It's free, too.

Breastfeeding is not an option for all. My wife continues to breastfeed our 7-month-old, but it has been a hassle with her work, even with the laws in place. For others, it is even more difficult. I cannot believe you would be such an advocate for breastfeeding and be so heartless that someone else lost their child.
I would like to know the brand of the formula that was being used ... parents should be able to make informed decisions. If another child gets sick, and it is linked to formula, heads will roll. I understand that it may not be linked to formula, but let us be prepared.

Don't pay attention to Bob, he is just a mean bitter person who has no life. If you look at his posts you find nothing but negative, hurtful remarks. My prayers go out to both families. It is a tragedy.

My sympathies go out to these families. I too would like to know the name of the formula, as my 11 month old is still drinking a bit of formula.

As for BOB, I would like to know when the last time you PERSONALLY had the option to breastfeed a child? Until then, I would suggest you keep your small minded opinions about subject matter you know NOTHING about to yourself!

This poor family has undergone the worst possible tragedy parents will ever experience. My sincere condolences. While I have no way of knowing if your are a religious family, I hope the promise of the resurrection can be of comfort to you.

Please give the response from "Bob" no more attention that you would give to any refuse that you through out.

Bob;

I am at a complete and utter loss why someone blessed with the opportunity to have access to computers, and the assumed intelligence and spare time to spend on the Internet that you would use such time to inflict such harm and evil.

What a narcissistic, uncaring byproduct of a human you must be, BOB~! My heart goes out to that family. The trauma and pure heartbreak that they are going through losing a child! OMG!
I cant believe I live in a world with such selfishness and stupidity...

Not every baby can breastfeed even if the parents want to. Some women have problems with milk production. Some children are adopted. Sometimes there isn't a woman in the home due to tragic circumstances like death in childbirth.

Oh, and there's also mastitis. A woman's breast can get infected and sicken the infant with the tainted milk.

Why don't you go read some books instead of getting caught up in nihilistic breastfeeding propaganda?

Not inflicting harm and evil, just sharing information. Go ahead - keep on gobbling down dairy products and enjoy your strokes and heart disease, watch your children blimp up like little cows. Maybe someday everyone will "get it" and the dairy industry's "It Does A Body Good" will only be printed in history books.

It is unfortunate that Bob's choice of words could cause the family or the readers so much grief and concern. Your words are sincere, but I truly don't believe he was trying to be callous; however, he should have used a bit more tact and maybe utilized more time to collect his thoughts.

Maybe Bob meant to say & should have said something like this: Due to unforeseen problems with baby formulas and the misguided faith people have placed in the manufacturers, maybe breast feeding should be taken more seriously as the safest option to ensure the safe nurturing, health, and vitality of our children.

I hope that is what Bob was saying!

To the bereaved family: Again, my sincerest condolences for your loss, and I pray that you never blame yourselves for this tragedy! You will be in my and many peoples prayers. Sincerely...

Here is a good web site. <http://www.enterobactersakazakiiblog.com > it even has a picture of the milk that was being used. It’s funny that there is all this information out there for this illness that I have never heard of. In 2002 the FDA released a warning to then companies; still deaths of babies still continue to happen. As in the reading is states to wash your hand before you make a bottle. Yes, please wash your hand but this WILL NOT prevent it from happening.

BOB, I wanted to let you know I that was breastfeeding for months. I was a stay at home mom and had no issues with breastfeeding my baby. However, I lost tons of weight and no had no more milk. Hope you understand that not all parents have a chose. I do wish how ever that you remember that a baby is in the hospital and one has died “that’s what you get” well I guess just read it over again and ask you self this. If I were a parent I would do anything to protect them and keep them safe. And if I heard of someone losing or even having to see there baby in a hospital bed I would only send prays and hope that I would never have to go though that.
We are trying to spread the word about breastfeeding and the use of using liquid milk and not powdered milk. If you have e-mails please e-mail the link to all family and friends to help prevent another family from going though this again.

If you have anymore questions please ask Ill do my best to give you the information I can. Due to the fact that there is still investigation.

BOB YOUR SUCH A IDIOT!! You have no clue what is really going on. Yea breast feeding is free but all women cant breast feed for the whole first year. For your information the mother of the child breast feed as long as she could. If you have children i really feel sorry for them.

So your intent is to help and inform? Do you honestly believe your delivery met the mark? Do you feel any remorse? In giving you the benefit of the doubt, you had the opportunity to enlighten new and soon to be parents of a potential concern. Do you see what you have now done. This fanatic behavior reminds me of the days of bombing clinics and spiking trees. Actions that results in such collateral harm that it completely masked the message.

You took the time to expand on your original premise and still provided no acknowledgment or apology for the callousness of your method.

I'm not defending his insensitivity or his poor choice of words, and I'm sorry you'd see it as such. More so, I was trying to offer a different perspective as to what he might have been trying to say to lessen the blow that it would have on the family.

I truly mean no offense to the family. I work in a field that deals with many experiencing grief on all levels. Some people become overcome with emotion and don't always word things properly & are often misconstrued...even when they mean well. I'm truly trying to give Bob the benefit of the doubt. I find it hard to believe that he'd be so heartless, but then again maybe he is. I heard many off the wall comments during a similar experience, but realized that people don't always select the appropriate words. Sometimes it's easier to be angry at others (even at God) or at something, as it's physically impossible to be angry and sad at the same time. It's a survival mechanism we all utilize during difficult times.

My condolences & my heartfelt prayers go out to all the family effected by this loss! I truly can empathize as I had to bury one of my children much too early in life. My heart truly aches for you & your family! If I may be of assistance, my email address is on my profile. I'm a person of my word and respect confidentiality. Your entire family will remain in my prayers. Again, my apologies if I offended you as it wasn't my intent. May God give you comfort during this difficult time!

Oh my goodness, are you one of the parents of this poor sick baby? I had no idea they were actually reading this. My heartfelt prayers go out for you and your child. I hope and pray your baby is well soon! Thank goodness you were able to breastfeed for those months. I believe that will help your baby fight off this awful infection. Thank you for trying to get the word out. I have been so disgusted by the industry's blatant attempts to hoodwink parents into not attempting to nurse. I knew nursing was better for my child, but I had no idea formula-feeding could be so dangerous. God bless you.

This is just AWFUL. This is why the !@#$%^&* formula companies should NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT be allowed to market directly to potential consumers - NO free CRAP formula delivered to our doorstep, in the weeks before a first child's birth, NO CRAP samples delivered in a "Breastfeeding Kit" (complete with inaccurate and negative advice on breastfeeding and pictures showing INCORRECT positions. WOW. Oh, but it's true - first-hand experience here - and we got these stupid kits at the Ped's office, at the OB/GYN's office...AND at the hospital) or CRAP coupons/Formula Checks that start out as significant discounts, and taper off into 25 cents. WHY is this allowed in our country??? It fits right in with the pharmaceutical companies benefitting from adding yet MORE vaccines to the "immunization" schedule, the AMA and ACOG condemning women's birth choices with professional attendants (and insurance companies not covering them...) etc. etc. Yes, "Bob" sounded unsympathetic to the family, but I highly doubt he was directing his comments to them, rather, trying to get readers' attention about what is considered "normal" in the U.S. today. Oh yes, our wonderful elitist crapo MEDIA... portraying childbirth not as normal, but as an emergency, bottles of formula as normal and best, "Breastfeeding" as something that should only be done in the bathroom in public, etc.etc.etc. WAKE UP PEOPLE. We have the second WORST infant death rate in the "developed" world.(Whoo hoo, we beat out Estonia! Go US!!) The maternal death rate is way too high as well. The C-section rate is THROUGH the roof for no good reason (I guess U.S. women are different from Europeans? There, the rate is 5-10%, here 25%-50% or even higher!). So instead of directing anger at Bob, who sounded rude, but did speak the truth, direct your anger at the American establishments... Promote breastfeeding, family-friendly atmospheres at work (including rooms to pump...), choice in childbirth and in childbirth practitioner, etc... Wake up.(yep, you guessed it. This post was written by a cloth-diapering, public-transit using, co-sleeping, home-birthing (professional midwife-consulting), breast-feeding, pro-environment, attachment-parenting, selective-vaccinating, post-doc, authority questioning, CONSERVATIVE momma!...one who does not agree with the statement: "From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs." Look it up.)

Daily Horoscope for December 11

Virgo

This is not a day for sitting still if you can possibly avoid it because it will be a fast track to bad temper and sharp-tongued outbursts. Have plenty of short breaks, go for lots of walks or work up a sweat in the gym in your lunch-hour. If you're driving, keep an eye on the speedometer because it will be very tempting to go too fast and you'll be furious if you're caught.
