Very good MUR. Morrison was wrong to have the affair, but there was also a woman involved. I'm guessing it is a little less complicated though. I would guess he dumped here and now is the time to get back at him.

I agree. It sounds like another stupid harassment case from a woman spurned.

Not all harassment cases are stupid, PBI. We aren't talking generalities for you to spout your view of women. This case, this woman, this man only. Try to stay with the topic. Not a vendetta against women.
Spurned, Kline pushed, who knows, that is all I want is for the woman to be looked at also. Something sounds not right about this, remember she did report this to Kline's office and the EEOC. MMMMMM...time will tell!

I just love when people in these blogs attack you PBI.
I guess they see the KC Chiefs logo and assume you're a male.

I remember someone or a couple of people did that in an abortin thread we were in.

It just cracks me up. MUR says to you, not to spout your view of women, and criticizes you suggesting you are not staying on topic with your vendetta against women. I just love it when you hit them with, "Oh! I am a woman."

MUR, I was hoping you would respond to my last post, when I tried to tell you a little about me.
I really didn't want you thinking I am some guy who cares little about people.

You are the one who actually cause me to write what I did. No comment?

Christmas you know, Tis the season! My list may be longer than Santa's or at least it feels that way.
If you read what I said, I made no mention of whether PBI was male or female, just not to say that all harassment cases are all stupid, if I misunderstood what PBI's meaning was, I apologize. But, women can have ill feelings towards the same sex also.
Tom, you may well be a nice person, but you don't come across as very forgiving, compassionate or tolerant of others and their failings. Which we all have and usually more than our minds allow us to admit!
Back to the topic, what are your views on what I said about something fishy with this woman?

MUR,

I beleive most of our problem has been, I was under the impression - early on - that you were a Morrison Apologist. I don't quite think that now.

Another point of contention was, I still think that Morrison is the one who was in a position of authority, and while I do think she was complicit in the entire mess, he was the lead character in this story.

I think also, because I am so accustomed to hearing most women attack the male for any alledged misgiving,(case in point - how the Yale LaCrosse players were immediately blasted by everyone of the who's who in the feminist movement) it was difficult for me to accept that you weren't for some reason attempting to switch the focus and place blame on her.

She is absolutley as guilty as him. I don't know how the whole thing began, one can only speculate, but it did. Did he flirt with her? Did she show out-of-the-ordinary interest in him first?
Who knows? They do. And God does.
All of this will play it's way out.
At some point when it's over, we will all know.

And aside from political preferences. We will just shrug our shoulders and go on with our lives

A Christian writer, Max Lucado, tells a story how he was on a flight to another city when at the last minute a very attractive young lady sat down next to him. She was talking to him as she sitting down and continued to talk for quite a while. She informed him that's how she deals with her nerves when forced to fly.
He, when given a chance, said something to the effect, "my wife is the same way."
He says, when the fact that he is married gets out of the way, he then says, "I am a minister, and I know of something here you can read that will help you colm down." Then he hands her his bible.

I tell you that because, one - I need to be reminded about those things, and two, for you to know that, "if Morrison didn't want to go to Minnesote, why did he get on the train?"

I hope you know what I meant by that.

Merry Christmas to you and all others also. I am not a Morrison apologist, but I have always supported him, prior to this, he is and was a excellent DA, he was hard on the bad guys and he was good at his job. I don't condone his actions by any means, I believe that anyone that gets caught has to pay the piper and take it like a trooper. Which I feel that he did. He screwed up and he knows it and I'll bet he is paying more dearly at home than anything the media can dish out! In the future, if he gets his act together, I would support him again as DA. He was hard on the bad guys and I know that there are not supposed to be degrees of sin, but lets face there are and always has been. I would rather an adulterer be in his position than a murderer.

I am not responding to any particular post. But, I am intrigued by comments on the fact that there was also a woman involved, and it does take two to tangle.
She was guilty of committing adultery, as Morrison was. I worked with EEOC some years ago and from what I read, she was not guilty of breaking the law unless she did give Morrison some information about Kline's prosecution of those he has charged. This would be under 'hindering an investigation' or 'obstruction of justice.'
Even if a woman entices a superior or seduces him, he is the only one legally at fault. The term,'harassment,' applies, not only to providing a hostile work environment for a woman, but to friendly situations as well.
So my question is,'did she or did she not spy for Morrison?' I would suggest she did not if she goes as far as to sue him under EEOC, as the truth would come out.

I have had the displeasure to have to file a complaint with the EEOC and do not even attempt to tell me that the truth will come out. In my case and some others I have heard about, the truth is very subjective with, at least my investigator. It all depends on what the investigator wants to believe. But that is a whole other discussion.
What I have said in the past was that this was a woman working in a position that required a higher knowledge of the law than say a clerk. So why did it take her two years to figure out this was harrassment, friendly or otherwise.(obviously they were friendly at some point in the two years, at least that has been my experience with the birds and the bees!) Why now, is my question, especially since he had been out of the office she was in for quite some time???

My experience tells me that something happened in which she did not get her way. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, or something like that.

Someone earlier said it would difficult to believe him again.........that's true. He would have to earn our trust again.
If he violates his oath to his wife, why not his oath to the office?
....Donna, where did you get your statistic that 3 out of 4 men cheat on their wives?
And if that's actually true, they must be cheating with - the 3 out of 4 wives who cheat on their husbands.
There are single women and men to cheat with out there.

I don't know this politician. A public offical who cheats on their spouse is, at the very least, really stupid. But violating the oath to his spouse does not mean that every other oath he ever took is no longer valid. FDR cheated regularly on his wife and turned out to be a pretty reasonable President. By that logic, if you break one law you will break them all. Well Tom, are we to assume that all speeders will now rob their local grocery stores?

Yo Jon,

I would respond differently to you, but I know the issues you must deal with.

You live in one of the most liberal cities in America, perhaps the most liberal.

I am sure you knew what my point was, but you obvisouly like to use a lot of rhetorical hyperbole.

Whe I said if he violated his oath to his wife, why not his oath to his office. I meant it.
We are as good as our word.
If we violate one oath, I am not suggesting you would violate all others..........dope.

I was making a point that our trust in him has been deminished. Why should anyone trust him to uphold any oath.

You should actually move to Middle River, or at least some where on the east side of the city.
Catonsville is a little more conservative then you sound.........or at least used to be.

Nothing but far left wackos in B-more.

MUR,

You are just incredible. I mean it. And actually right now I don't care if you don't like what I write..........
For some strange reason you can not help but take pot shots at people - for whatever reason.

I was very civil with you in my last post. I will try to remain that way, but frankly, after this post I see no need to engage you in any debate.

You previously reacted to PBI:
"We aren't talking generalities for you to SPOUT YOUR VIEW OF WOMEN. This case, this woman, this man only. Try to stay with the topic. NOT A VENDETTA AGAINST WOMEN."

Then you squirmed when it was revealed PBI is a woman........you dunce.

Now, because of my response to John, you feel you should take more shots at me. You sure do stick your foot in your mouth alot.

You sarcastically wrote:

MUR,
You dweeb, I grew up in Baltimore, Maryland. I still have a lot of family there, and a lot of friends.
OH! I lived in Catonsville. Was President of the Tri-sport athletic club for two years in Arbutus, which is about 5 miles south of Catonsville.
My childhood was spent in the inner-city in Soutwest Baltimore.
Married a girl from Baltimore....are you getting the pic? you nit-wit.
Just before we moved to the KC area my wife and I lived for a year in east Baltimore.

I was in sales for many years there, so yes, I know a ton about that city. I know most every street and every alley.
I know where most gangs are, and I know just how very liberal that city is. Is this good enough for you? HUH? What do you think mouth-all-mighty?

You are a real piece. I guess I didn't remain too civil......oh well, too bad.
Do you ever think to yourself, uh, duh, that you must not be playing with a full deck to keep doing the same stupid stuff.

MUR,

Me thinks you're stupid.
You probably can't help yourself.

When I refer to you as something unflaterring, you take that as a pot shot, it's not.
It's merely me calling you something unflaterring.

And the only reason I say something unflatterring is because you keep sticking your foot in your mouth.

First with PBI, and then with me.

It's ok, you are now a non-entity. It makes no sense to engage you in any debate, due to your lack of understanding of the issues and, the english language.
