Mae Trout was my anut and was not the kind of person that would do harm to herself nor would she did do drugs either. She was full of life and loved all of her family. That means all (husband, kids, grandchildren, sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, friends, etc.) and she was loved by all. Please help us to get her murder solved.
We all love you and will miss you very much. Your Niece |

My family has know Mae, John, and her family for 15 years or better and although we had parted ways for a time, never did we imagine our lives would come full circle through the love our children shared for one another. Mae loved my daughter and grandson as though they were her own. In her heart and through her actions they were hers, and for that I am forever grateful.
Thank you Mae for being the giving and caring person that you were. The footprint you have left behind is quite enormous and will be difficult to fill. God Bless you Mae, we will look after James and the little ones in your absence. |

When i heard the news about my Aunt Mae passing is just could not believe it.
Although i have not seen her in many years I still have very fond memories about going to stay at her house. Her oldest son and I were like brothers growing up and we were always going on little adventures all over the property , mostly swimming and fishing in the ponds out back. Aunt Mae would always take us kids with her where ever she went and she loved having us around. She was a very family oriented person, always doing what she could to see her family was well taken care of. Aunt Mae had many brothers and sisters and she loved everyone of them and being one of the youngest siblings , you could see that she looked up to them in many ways and it always showed in the way they communicated with each other. She was my fathers younger sister and as kids we were at her house , more than we were at our own. To say that she was like a second mother would be an understatement. She was a Mother,Grandmother, Sister, Aunt & Friend to so many people I can not understand why something like this would happen to such a wonderful woman. And to my Uncle , please stay strong and know that all of the family loves and supports you in your time of grief and if there is anything i can do to help please get in contact with me and i will do all i can to help out. To my cousins (All of you , The Meadows' & The Lowe's) I miss each and everyone of you and I am sorry that it has been so long since i have heard from anyone and all of you are always in my heart and thoughts. If anyone out there has any information regarding this case , please come forward and help the authorities bring the person or persons who committed this brutal crime to justice. We love you Aunt Mae and will miss you so much. Your Nephew |

Mae was my mother and will always be in my heart. He helped so many people including myself and my family more times than I can count. My mother adopted everyone she knew. Family vacations and family photos always included someone outside the immediate family. This was murder and I don't care who says otherwise. My mother would never have put her family through this pain. This was a terrible loss of life, someone willing to give more than she had to those in need and I hope the police is doing everything they can to find her killer and bring him to justice.
I will always love you mom and Austin sends his hugs and kisses. Lynn Martinelli (Meadows) |

First of all - my heartfelt sympathy goes out to all Mae's friends and family. I find it very odd that there hasn't been any more information released by the authorities on her death. I, like Mae, is a grandmother who likes to frequent Charles Town. My thought is that if they publicize this heinous act too much, business will get worse than it already is at Charles Town. Lots of "lurkers" there. Again, my thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief.

What is the latest in the investigation into the lady's death? At one point it was hinted that her wounds were self inflicted. That seems ridiculous to me. What happened to this lady?

Edna Mae, Sister Mary and Brother Melvin came to live with my Aunt as Foster Children, they were loved by all of our family. Never asking but always giving, very good people. We had alot of fun growing up, Edna Mae was always the mother figure to all of us kids even tho some were older. Everytime I think of Mae I remember a time (and for her the 1 and only) we got in trouble. We were vacationing in Nags Head, everyone was going sightseeing, and of course as teens we wanted sun and lots of it. Finally our parents gave in and left us to work on our tans, but promised dearly if we burnt we were in trouble. Well we burnt, as in big time, we tried to cover it with make up, clothes, whatever we could think of. The next morning we were in the bathroom trying to cover up, when Mae said "gee it's getting dark in here" and I agreed. We had fainted at the same time, of course of sun poisioning. Which we totally denied but was confirmed at the hospital, we didn't get in trouble because we had gotten so sick; but the things we did to cover the burn, our parents knew as well. It's just an old memory, but it was pretty funny at the time.
I pray for Mae and her family that God may grant you peace and know that she is in heaven and is love there as well as all of us who will love and miss her here. I pray also that the monster who could do this to her is caught and brought to justice. |

I'd like to know why so many murders have happened in this area and no one seems to know why or who? Makes me wonder if a sheriff, cop or trooper is the killer. Why arent they being solved?

To Curious,
How many are you talking about? To Mae's family, I'm very sorry for your loss. |

Now another woman's body was found yesterday. This lady was from Silver Spring, MD. So I would presume she was at the casino. I'm hoping they check the security cameras from the casino. Could this be a serial killer. Like I said in an earlier post, I go to CT often and there are some strange people just "hanging out and lurking." I guess I'm going to have to pay attention to my surroundings. |

It is over a year later and we still do not have answers about my mother, Edna Mae Trout's case. The corrinor still has not signed off on the death certificate. We need some answers. It obviously is not suicide or this case would have been closed a long time ago. Mom, may you rest in peace and know that Dad is in good hands.
Love your daughter. |
