Do you feel that Jefferson County Law Enforcement Officers are underpaid?

Based on the dangers of the job, I feel that Law Enforcement Officers should be paid more than $25,000 - $30,000 per year, which is average for this area.

I agree that law enforcement officers are underpaid, as well as firemen and schoolteachers

High School Ed. and weigh less than 400 pounds.

It's deplorable to pay a law enforcement officer a piddly amount like 25-30k a year. Why would anyone want to risk their life on a daily basis for crap money like that?

In my previous employment I worked with the law enforcement in Jefferson County, Dandridge City, Jefferson City, White Pine and in New Market and they did an outstanding job. I think it is a shame that there is so much responsibility on the shoulders of these wonderful men and women and they get paid so little. As in any other profession there ware a few that may have done some wrong but overall these folk work hard towards ensuring the safety of members in the community.
I just want to give a huge THANK YOU to this group of people for what they do... their heart must really be in it!!! |
