Not to long ago a federal labor board investigation concluded and found that the Jefferson County Sheriff Office was in violation.

Now I hear there is a current Deputy who was injured while on duty. He has been undergoing treatment for an injury to his arm. Now he has been told by the Sheriff that he is going to be transferred to the jail and his pay reduced to that of a starting Jail Officer. He has been a Deputy Sheriff for the Jefferson County Sheriff since the mid 90's. Is this how you treat a person who has put his life in danger to save yours? I know that for a fact as he has come to my aid several times before.

Sheriff Robinson needs to wake up and see that he has the worst morale in the Jefferson County Sheriff Office since who knows when. Sheriff Robinson sits around and works part time at a bank when he should be doing the job he was elected to do. What if someone took this job away from him along with his pay?

Remember this Officer cant even work his part time jobs while injured costing him even more money. This is not the fault of the Sheriff but should have been considered.

I just ask all who read this, What if this was you and you where injured performing your job for your employer, How would you feel if they came and said "Your injured and I cant use you right now so I cam cutting your pay 1,000 to 1,500 dollars a month. I want to know what the public feels about this practice. Remember that these are the people who will come to your protection when you need them.
