St. Mary's Celebrates First Day of School

This spring, advocates for this grade school weren't sure if they'd be in another building, or spread out across the county.

this is very good news for are community. It would have been a damn shame if it had to close.

It's good to have vibrant, private schools in the area. A good alternative to the public schools. The area Catholic churches and private donors came together quickly to get this building repaired. What troubles me is that the city and county gave public funds to this cause. The amounts were small, but it sets a bad precedent. Are the other private schools in Harrison County entitled to request similar funds for their facilities? My guess is that they would be denied, regardless of the need.
