Seventh Person Dies in Accident in 9 Days
“He went into a curve and into her lane”
A Hancock County woman became the seventh traffic accident victim in nine days when she died early Monday on Mississippi 43.
Violet Nixon, 33, of Kiln, died in the 1:15 a.m. crash near the intersection of Mississippi 603 when an 18-wheeler veered into her lane and struck her car, authorities said. She was wearing a seat belt, said Master Sgt. Joe Gazzo of the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
The crash is the seventh fatal traffic accident in South Mississippi since Feb. 2, a nine-day period. Read more
