Finally, now everyone can see that Mr. Clark never had any intention to finish his term. The Floyd group was aware of this all along. Help get Clark elected, then we will appoint someone of our choice to finish his term. dirty politics as usual by the Floyd group. Clark has not put out any signs, not campaigned, not attended any forum. Yet the hardheaded we run this show Floyd group has kept quiet hoping Clark wins so they can keep on keepin on. This is the kind of crap that keeps people from participating in elections, etc.. I am voting for Evans, and Jones, it will be great if both win, all of a sudden things wont be so easy for the Floyd group on capital hill. I hope people see this for what it really is. Dirty backdoor politics by our so called "city leaders". Disgusting.

I guess I see it differently, I think it's commendable for Clark to announce it before the election and let everyone know. If you drive through the ward that Clark represents, there are plenty of signs out, not sure where you are getting that he hasn't put any out. Where are Evans' signs? Who is he?

Anyone that supports Jones has clearly lost their mind. Based on what? What has Jones done that would make you think he would be a good city councilman? He's got his house for sale and looking to get out of here as soon as it sells. He's ran the chamber into the ground and near bankruptcy. What are his accomplishments?

Evans is a local attorney. He is head of the Fannin County Bar association. My observations of him is that he is level-headed, intelligent, concerned about others. I think he would be a great addition to the Bonham City Council. He is not born and raised Bonham, so I think he will stay out of the backroom politics and take time to hear all sides of issues and do his homework before he votes.

Evans has displayed many times that he does what he is told, that is why Judge Blake and Glaser have him on committees with them. Evans is a yes man and heavily supported Eileen Cox strictly because he bought his office from her. I just can't trust a person who doesn't stand up and say no to people instead of being a person that just goes along with everything. The City of Bonham municipal Judge John Skotnik is Evans bestfriend and wants him on the council to help his courts so all of this is just way out there and people aren't running for all the right reasons.

Is there anyone out there who lives in Fannin County who isn't a yes person, can stand up for the right reasons, that will run against these people in the next election, whether city or county? It shouldn't matter if you are the R the D or the T, if you will take charge and do things for all the right reasons, why don't you run?

It was rather sad what happened in our last two elections, we had people in office that did not go along with the group, spoke their minds, said no when no was necessary and they lost just because they didn't have an R beside their name. There should never ever be a straight ticket of any sort. It should be based on who they are, what they represent and proved it by their actions. Don't be a go along person, think for yourself and don't let people influence you.

I agree, I don't even know why local office holders even are associated with national political parties. Like I said before, it's not like the local office holders are helping determine national party agendas or course of actions for the country.

I look forward to the changes that will be taking place. With Burnetts on both the council and school board, Evans and Jones getting elected to the council, there will be a lot less waste of tax dollars going to building contractors getting kickbacks on school construction and new city halls. Jones and Evans will end Bedco's waste, and get us the type of city manager Bonham deserves.

It is time to end the waste of YOUR money by the liberals. And after this election is over, we need to get rid of RINOs like Carter and Whitlock, and put responsible people in those jobs. Joe Strong is already making a difference, we just need this change spread countywide.

Daily Horoscope for May 25

Libra

You have a tremendous amount of nervous energy today and you need to find positive ways of expressing it, otherwise it could make you rather irritable and restless. Ideally, you should do something physical, such as going for a brisk walk, cleaning the house while working up a sweat or getting your money's worth out of the gym. Don't take out your frustrations on people who don't deserve them.
