It is a typical approach of the Indiana Legislature to apply a Band-Aid in order to cure cancer.
Indiana will now have a system of worthless bureaucrats replaced by a system of worthless bureaucrats who have gone to school for 40 hours.
What we need is a system of professional forensic scientists who are hired based upon merit. Has anyone ever seen CSI?

The Indiana Coroner's Training Board has been teaching a 40hr course and certifying this instruction for the last seven years. This course was developed by the Nation Justice Institute and was adopted by Indiana to train their coroners and deputies. There was a push to have all coroners take this course years ago, but it was voted down by elected officials. We tried to police ourselves, now we have more laws to enforce.
