I am so touched. It is so nice to read "good news," and "a happy ending," for a change.
I am an avid cat fancier, with two who allow me to live with them). Also, my father was a professional fire fighter for over 40 years (1).'You put cats and fire fighters in the same article and "I'M THERE!" (ha-ha).
The article reminded me very much of an incident I experienced like this one. Years ago,a kitten, whom my father liked very much, was stuck in a tree on the front kawn. He was so afraid he was unable to descend. On day 2, my father was to return to the Fire Hall (24 on/24 off shifts). As Capt. he gathered the squad and said, we need to drive around our territory. It is important that, yo effectively do your job that you know the streets, names, and location within our territory. Very true, and very clever indeed. Within minutes, the truck made a stop by the house...the kkitten was down shortly there after.
