May I ask why the hospital admin. is getting money to add more equipment when he can't control what he already has. Case in point:(1) OB shut down.(2) Paul Gardner is wanting to replace the current ambulance (owned by county) and bring in a company named ASAP to provide the EMS initial response. ASAP met with ambulance personell (those that could make it). I have a friend that works for George Regional EMS, he makes $11.25/hr. ASAP offered him $7.25/hr. He has more than 10 years experiance, has a family to feed. My friend says the range offered is from $6.55/hr to $7.60/hr for EMT-Basic's. The top pay being offered for Paramedics is $10.70/hr. These employees are all full-time, and have atleast 2 years experiance. Also, ASAP offered to resubmit the past 6 months unpaid bills, Gardner refused. What is he hiding? Why is he not willing to meet with HIS employees to answer questions? He was told to meet with them by his boss, also known as the George County Board of Supervisors. My personal opinion is Gardner is hiding a crapload of wrongdoings. Just my opinion, however the pay scale numbers are fact.

Concerned, I heard about the ambulance service fiasco from a couple of the EMTs at GREMS--it's a crock, for sure, and it sounds as though this Gardner fellow is in deed hiding some things from his employees and his supervisors.

Cutting pay is never a good way to keep loyal employees, and our EMS service has a lot of good, dedicated folks.

AMR took over. How is the power company able to loan over a million dollars and still call itself non-profit? Why isn't it using that amount to cut down our bills? Because it makes a profit and should be under the committee regulations.

Daily Horoscope for January 7

Sagittarius

If you have any worries or problems today, a close colleague could have the answers you seek. Work will be satisfying, and anything to do with children should be very rewarding today. There could be friction with a relative, but it's nothing serious and things will sort themselves out in due course. Again, you must pay attention to your health, Saggitarius: skin infections are a strong possibility at the moment.
