Why not suspect foul play? What's the rest of the story? Had the vehicle been in an accident? Geez. Come on 10tv, you can do better than that!

Let's see, a couple of weeks ago another local law enforcement agency said a body found with no less than three separate bullet wounds was a ~suicide~, that sheriff in California could not find that poor abducted abused child for -18- years while her abductor had her outside camping in his own back yard and now this guy is found in a burned out shell of a vehicle and no foul play is suspected? How are the doughnuts today, officer? PS: let's not forget our own Columbus police who just got yet another tax increase, just my opinion

PS: let's not forget our own Columbus police who just got yet another tax increase, just my opinion News stories about police doing their job isn't as interesting. Let's have all police just take one day off and find out what would happen. Must be nice to sit in judgment with no qualifications at all. Not sure whether the post is a troll, or just extreme ignorance.

They reported what they found out from official sources. Geez. Did you want them to just make something up to make people happy?

Nope, just want better info if they are going to bother writing the story to begin with. If no foul play is suspected, tell us why. And I'm sure they could tell if the vehicle had been in an accident or not.

I don't know the guy, but here's my guess, with no offense to anyone: Guy gets drunk. Pulls over to pass out and lights a cigarette first.

It's not impossible. Not common, but not unusual, either. Not all gunshot wounds are instantly fatal, despite the way Hollywood portrays it. Even head wounds are not always instantly fatal.

Guy gets drunk. Buddies drop him off drunk at van instead of taking him home. Drunk buddies drive off. Drunk starts van to keep warm and passes out and becomes a crispy critter when van catches fire. Simple story with sad ending

From what I knew of him, he was a nico he sweet guy! And I'm sorta sad to see some of the comments made. There was no foul play or anything of the sort. It's was pretty much just a tragic accident that no one expected! He will be missed! and my heart goes out to his children and family! RIP!

Two years ago, a friend of ours feel asleep in his car while parked in his driveway. The car exploded and burst into flames. Lucky his mother heard it and was able to pull him out before he died. It can happen.

I want to know who is going to do something about all the partying that is going on in that town? Rumors of alcohol called "Apple Pie" that could have played a big factor in why he did or did not wake up and try to save himself.... Someone needs to get a hold on the drugs and the alcohol that is going on in the same vicinity the vehicle caught fire. Everyone played innocent when it all came down to it, but I hope everyone who was involved feels very crappy today. They could have played a big part in why this happened. He could still be alive today had someone had sense enough about them to not let him even get into the vehicle. He could have stayed with one of his fellow partiers. I did not know him personally, but I had met him several times and he was a very pleasant person to have been around. I hope the ones who could have played a factor in this man’s death can wash the blood off their hands. I send my deepest sympathy to his family and his children in which he left behind on that sad day.

Gary "Bud" was my cousing. He didnt smoke, do drugs or drink "Apple Pie." He was a beer kinda guy. He didnt have his children that evening and decided to be an adult and enjoy a night with his friends. He was with his woman for 17 years before they'd split, so Jenni.. what did your comment have to do with the situation?? You're ignorant. And while his friends will probably always regret the last moments of Buds life, turns out that sleeping it off and doin "the right thing" was deadlier than riding in a car with another drunk driver. It was a fatal judgement call that we , his family.. are suffering for today, yet in some strange twist... I'm proud of him for staying put. I have no issues with how the police are handling the investigation at this time. They have so far taken their time to be thorough and we have been guarenteed that no stone will be left unturned. For that I'm grateful. Obviously this IS news and has to be printed, but not everyone should comment. IE.. Crispy Critter. Its hard enough to lose someone you love, but to lose them in such a horrific way.. I hope you never know how it feels. You should try to be considerate of the people who'll read these comments, looking for comfort in friends and strangers who may have the same questions or feelings as they do. I certainly dont feel that he deserved that name.. in fact.. he deserved "Gorgeous, sweet, loving, caring, compassionate, helpful, wonderful father, super cool, fun crazy friend, stand up kinda guy, and to me.. one of my two favorite cousins that I had a BLAST knowing and loving him my whole life. And despite how he left us.. he will ALWAYS be beautiful to me.
