I think it is a shame that this lady riskrd her safety to report this red van and because she had numerous failed attempts to reach crimestoppers, she now won't recieve the monies that program set up for information. seems as if the system failed her she didn't fail doing what she thought was what a citizen should do.

The director of crimestoppers says she should have been a little more patient..their line was busy when granny called, so she called her local sheriff to report the van, for that, she doesn't get the reward. Crimestoppers is refusing to give her the reward because she didn't call the tip in through them...UNBELIEVABLE!!!! Crimestopper Fraud!!!

They never said whether or not the "tipster" was an un-wed grandmother who collected welfare while raising her children or a FICA paying house wife that collected off of her husband's social security after he passed. But anyway, I'm sure she's been paid more than that measly 3K for being a good citizen.

It is a good thing that the reason we report crime is for the money...not because it is the 'right' thing to do. The only danger to her person was not tripping over the wireless telephone cord. U big dummy.

Crimes stoppers are a big fat joke!

I called them to tell them about a guy
that leaves his house everynight at 1:00
in the AM and goes over to a buddies house
and then the two of them go who knows where.
I know one place in summerdale where he goes
in the middle of the night!

The interesting thing about the whole thing
is everyone this guys knows keeps getting broke
into.

Hummmm! What could be happening here!
Let me think about this. lol

This guy also doesn't have a license to drive,
has numerous unpaid traffic tickets, including
a suspended license, and no insurance.

Oh and by the way, this guy always has a
pull trailer full of stuff he hauls around
on weekends and sells at flea markets.

Wow do you suppose any of it is hot, and being
look for by the sheriffs office.

But Crime stoppers says they just don't have
any probable cause to stop him.

Hey how about the fact that the cops in his
area know him, and have ticketed him a million
times and know he doesn't have a drivers license
isn't that enough!

Ugh!

Ugh!
Maybe the cops realized that the people have a right to drive?

Crimes are violations of the state and Cops report crime for "the money" from the state. Therefore, when cops are not around to report crimes to the state, people should win their salary by doing so.

yes ppl have right to drive, but it's the law
that they have drivers licenses and insurance.
What if this idiot hit you, and you didn't carry
uninsured motorist because you lost your job
and couldn't afford it.

Just for laughes and giggles lets say you became
a quadripledgic because of it. If he doesn't have
insurance and is poor, who the hell is going
to pay for your care for the rest of your life.

Do you want stuck in some poor nursing home where
they mostly abuse patience because they can't
pay?

Do you think that my car insurance limits are enough to get you put in a private care nursing home for the rest of your life? Keep dreaming.
