Don't think so from my discussions with the councilmen. These out-of-town guys have met with most of the City Councilmen including Waters, Doss, Whitlock and the Mayor and other business leaders in town. I don't think any of the city councilmen are working with them.

Unfortunately, the council and local business people don't always got a crystal ball to tell them who is a crook, m o r o n, or i d i o t before they meet them. If they did, they probably wouldn't be meeting with a quarter of their own constituents or customers here.

As with anybody you don't know...whether they're from the big city or Eddy county- ask them a bunch of questions about their business history and then check them out thoroughly before doing business or contracts with them.

And i agree with the last guy! I am glad Carlsbad is growing! Just be careful to know your business and who you do it with!Just my two cents from experience.

You got that right! Looks like a frog that just swallowed a load
of radioactive flies, quite proud for the moment until the lower
bowel starts to glow in the dark and turn into a unstoppable turnip on steroids! Ha! "How appropriate, then, that a high-caliber summit take place in Carlsbad, the birthplace of the model for community consent." Please explain "Community Consent"? What the fu****K is that supposed
to mean? The City of Carlsbad, NM loves nuclear waste and we are so
proud to have it buried in our backyard! This town must be the envy
of the civilized world! Shiza! Seriously, did the people of Carlsbad, NM really vote for this nasty stuff, or did its "elected officials" do it for them by proxy!?? And do you really think this government will tell you the truth about any of this? Makes the Tuskegee syphilis experiment look like an Obama press conference on the gas prices!

I just have to laugh at that because my life partner slightly resembles him.

I would listen to the realtor on this one they usually know what they are talking about. Unless your shelly garriot, she showed us a house before and her husband was there and wouldnt shut up the guy acted like he knew everything. Im sorry but it was just un-professional! He shouldnt be there watching you while your trying to work!

Fukushima, Three Mile Island, Chernobyl, Carlsbad New Mexico - how about rezoning this entire dystopic post-apocalyptic dysfunctional murderous crazy ass town as the FORBIDDEN ZONE! Giant snakes on the loose, reckless driving, rabid skunks and cats slobbering disease and pestilence on unwarry citizens, psycho-killers blowing away innocent people, failing schools - even the President of the US could not clear security to stop by to say hello! And all
this town can think of is how wonderful, how idyllic, how positively marvelous it would be to get high-level nuclear waste to come here to round out this picture of Sir
Thomas More's UTOPIA!
