Dyersburg man gets 7-year federal sentence
George Talbert Seratt, 39 of Dyersburg, was sentenced Thursday afternoon in federal court to 84 months in prison for possession of a pipe bomb, announced Lawrence Laurenzi, U.S. attorney for the Western District of Tennessee, in a news release today.

why was he going to kill his mother? did anyone ever ask him? I have seen a lot of evil in my life the longer i live it's still mind boggling what some people do. he had to be on drugs for sure.

im not going to say george was a friend of mine, but i am going to say i know him. he wasnt trying to kill anyone, he didnt even have all the stuff to make the bomb, no fuse. but yes, he was on drugs, very bad. it was actually his sister that called the police, not because he was really going to do anything, but because he wouldnt share his crack with her. george loves his mother, and im not defending his actions in any kind of way, but it's an awful thing for the world to think you wanted your mother dead, to the point you would build a bomb? he will pay for what he did. and maybe by the time he gets out, drugs will be such a part of his past, he'll never go back....pray |

well its bad that he was on drugs and I love my mother i couldnt possibly think of how i would feel if the whole entire world though that I tried to kill my mother.But if he was on drugs then that probably made him do that hopefully he will sit down and think about it while he has the chance too in jail so when he gets out he does not try doing the drugs again. |

damn shame, george and I used to party together before I shipped out. I used to know his whole family I'm not all that shocked. Last I heard he was into some pretty heavy stuff. Hope this will set him right

Well i know him. and this is not his first time in prison. he use to harass one her his ex's so bad cops would be called. this man needs serious help

george is my family and yes he was on drugs and yes so was his sister! i hate to know that my family is in prison but they deserve to be punished for thier crimes just like anyone! his brother passed away two years ago and now his mother only has one son and it is him! i hate that this happened! but the sister is also in prison now too! actually two sisters! one sister has never been in trouble but the other two have been to prison twice!

I haven't seen any of them in years. I dated Deshawn for awhile, last i saw her she was in texas. I lost touch with most of them when I shipped out. What happen to Danny? |
