Man Pleads Guilty in Harrison County DUI Death

I hope the Harrison County Court System puts this man in prison for the rest of his life. I knew Becky very well. She was like a sister to me. Our kids were the best of friends and spent almost every weekend together. Becky was a wonderful person. She raised her two kids practically on her own while attending college full time and working full time to support her kids. She just graduated from Fairmont State with a degree in Education. She was getting a full time teaching degree in Harrison County. She worked very hard her whole life and did without things to provide for her kids. She was a Christian women and it was very important to her to keep her kids in Church. She was an active member in Crimson River Baptist Church. Mr. Harlow is a piece of crap and deserves the worst. Becky's kids will have to live the rest of there lives without their mother. Her son, Justin, at the time of her death was in Middle School. He was a very good football player and Becky was his biggesst fan. Just think what he thought when he played in his games after her death and did not see her in the stands or hear her saying "Go Just" that is what she sometimes called him and her daughter Mariah, well every little girl needs there mother. Mr. Harlow has a daughter himself and has said that she needs him. Well, where was she when he was out driving on Route 50 when Becky and her daughter was coming back from a weekend vacation with her family. He was Under the Influence of alot of drugs when he should have been home taking care of his daughter. His daughter is alot better off without him. Mariah was not hurt. THANK GOD FOR THAT!!!!!! Justin was on a motorcycle with Becky's fiance traveling behind her and Mariah. He saw the whole thing and helped the fiance pull Beckky out of the car and watch CPR be given to his mother. These kids were and still are traumatized. They will remember this incident for the rest of there lives. July will make 2 years that this horrible incident happened. My prayers are with her whole family. Her kids are fighters just like her and they will be fine. Mr. Harlow needs to be pay for what he has taken away from the kids and I hope Justice is Served.

I agree that what happened to Becky is horrible and the gentleman needs to pay for his actions. I do hope that he spends the rest of his life in prison. As for his daughter, the man should have thought more about her before driving under the influence of drugs. I myself knew Becky and she was a very sweet person. She is missed by so many people. However, I think that the comment of her raising the kids alone was a little harsh. I also know Charlie and he loved those kids just as much as Becky and he raised them also. Just because Charlie and Becky were not together does not mean that Charlie did not help with the kids. He was a good dad but he just was not with them as much because of the marriage situation. I come from a divorced family and I lived with my mom, but my dad was still a good dad and there for me a lot. I know that Charlie helped with the kids and he loves them both so much. He too had a hard time dealing with Becky's death. They had a lot of happy years together. I know that your intentions were probably not to make Charlie look bad, but some could find that comment hurtful. Who knows both Charlie and the kids could read this site and be hurt. My prayers are with Becky's family and friends. Always remember the happy times. I do hope that justice is served.

I apologize for how you interpreted my post. I know and like Charlie also. That is not what I was saying. I was saying, in other words, she did attend college full time, worked a full time job, made sure her and her kids were in church and was still available to both kids. I know the marriage situations with the two of them also and know that he worked out of town atleast 50% of there marriage to try and earn a living for the family. When Charlie was home he was active in the kids' life. Even with the divorce, he did get visitations every other weekend. I am saying that while she had the kids she still jungled and succeeded her obligations. There is no doubt in my mind that he had and is still having a hard time dealing with Becky's death. They were married for quite a few years, therefore I am sure he has nothing but fond memories of her. I know that he loved her, continued to love her while they were divorced and still loves her. As for your comment about Charlie and the kids reading this post. You are right, they might. They all three know who I am and they know that I was not trying to make Charlie look bad. My family was as close to Charlie as we were to Becky.The kids call me and my husband aunt and uncle so if I offended anyone that reads this post I do aplogize. I truly was not saying Charlie is or was a bad husband or father....

Thanks for clearing things up. I am sorry if I took the comment the wrong way. I hope that you and your husband always continue to have a friendship with Charlie and the kids. They need that in all their lives. You sound like a good person and you have a big heart.

The sentencing hearing is today. I think it was supposed to be at 8:30 a.m. I am awaiting anxiously on the outcome.

Hopefully the sentencing goes well. Please let me know something when you heat the outcome.

He got 1-10 years in prison. I guess that is OK but I was hoping for alot more. Atleast he did not get off scott free. Justin spoke at the hearing along with a few other family members.

At least he did get something. He still has to live with what he did for the rest of his life no matter how long he spends in jail. I pray that Becky's family can find peace with all of this now. My thoughts and prayers go out to Becky's family as well as the family of Mr. Harlow.
