I saw this play -- the Davis County Players put on an outstanding show, as usual.
For a tiny little town, they sure have a lot of people who can sing and act. This Christmas show was the best in the area this year. The others weren't even close. I can't wait to see their spring production. |

I agree. These guys and gals prove you don't needa huge budget to put on a great show. I try to watch the Davis County Players shows whenever I can. Someone told me that they're going to start having a local playwright write for them. Has anyone else heard about this, or is it just a rumor? It would be nice to have some locally-written stories mixed in with all the standards and classics they present every year.

As a member (sometimes) of the Davis County Players, I'd like to thank you Ottumwans for expressing your appreciation for what we do.
I haven't heard anything about having someone write plays for us, but there is a guy in our group who has written plays in the past before he moved here. Maybe he's back at it, or maybe he wants us to do some of his old stuff. I never go to the meetngs, so I'm out of the loop. This year the spring play is some kind of Mark Twain ditty, going to go on March 14-15. I saw it in the paper today. |
