While marijuana may not cause the life-threatening problems associated with heroin, cocaine or methamphetamine, it's far from harmless.

"It is a major drug of abuse," he said. "People ask me what the most dangerous drug is, and I say marijuana. Other drugs have serious consequences that are easy to recognize. Marijuana saps people's motivation, their direction. It's a drug that makes people stupid and lazy. That's in a way more dangerous."

AFTER ALL, WHY DO YOU THINK THEY CALL IT DOPE.
Oddly enough, in 1969, when the 1937 law making pot illegal was deemed unconstitutional, the 1970 Narcotics Act created the Shafers Commission. After a two year study, this commission recommended decriminalization. They found this would be the only way to win the war on the REAL drugs that were causing the addiction problems within society. It is illegal to arrest blacks and mexicans. Dont believe me, just read the debate from the senate floor. And I quote (senator from Texas) "all Mexicans are crazy and marijuana makes them that way."
