I still contend we need to deliver a Freedom of Information letter to the ACLU, a not for profit. The law states all not for profits must produce their accounting, if it's requested.

I read somewhere recently there's a group that's called American Civil Rights Union, however I'm not 100% on that name.

Some how... we have to make these law suits for the betterment of the people and society. That enables them to come forward without challenge.

Someway.. we need to label the lawsuits of the ACLU as pandering to special interests and possibly for money. And while we want to protect our business folks, we want that protection to NOT infringe on the life, liberty and happiness of the American People.

I know the Columbia County area well and I know it can't afford to do the work that this measure is supposed to do. The ACLU and the Northwest Workers Justice Project were right to challenge this.

The ACLU are professional shit stirrers. If the case is not a sensational leftist cause, you would never hear a peep out of them.

People like you are the reason over 15 billion in US dollars leave the US instead of keeping it in the American economy. Then on top of that illegals drain educational and healthcare resources.

The ACLU needs to stop defending the ILLEGALS and defend the American Citizens! The ACLU is a joke, and will help bring this country down to the same third world cesspool the illegals came from.If you are in this country illegally you have no rights and you are not entitled to anything but a swift kick in the butt back over the border!

Source: Inter-American Development Bank, March 2006 report,“Remittance 2005”. Mexico remains the largest recipient of remittances, at over US$20 billion, followed by Brazil and Columbia which for the first time reached over US$6 and US$4 billion respectively. Central America and the Dominican Republic combined to reach over US$11 billion; and the Andean countries totaled almost US$9 billion.

As much as 50% of remittances are unreported. As published in the Development Prospect Group Briefing #3, "This amount only reflects transfers through official channels. Econometric analysis suggests that unrecorded flows through informal channels may add 50 percent or more to recorded flows. Including these unrecorded flows, the true size of remittances, is larger than foreign direct investment flows and more than twice as large as official aid received by developing countries."

I know Columbia County better than you do and I know how losing this money will affect it. Have you been there?

I am not sure where you get the random 15 billion dollar number from but there are economic reasons for trade, international support, and of course the mistaken war in Iraq which do cost billions of dollars a month. Why am I responsible for that due to my belief that a small county can't afford to many cases?

It is wrong for anyone who is here illegally to take away a job from a US citizen. And any US citizen who believes otherwise is a traitorous, commie-pinko wretch of a human and should get the HELL out of my country.

if you have not studied the evil that is the federal reserve now is the time. illegal immigration is a win/win for our government. the combination of stagnant wages and money leaving the country is necessary to maintain our fundamentally flawed monetary policy.

with the economy as bad as it is and all of the layoffs, couldn't they replace the illegals with legal citizens? having no job is alot worse than the jobs americans supposedly won't do, isn't it?

And this lawsuit coming from the folks who want to legalize child porn, the American Criminal Liberties Union is a shameful waste of taxpayers dollars, they letigate illegal activities until they think they can make them legal, like telling a lie so many times it will become the truth (I wonder who said that?).

What planet have you been living on for the past 10 years?!? Illegals have been sending money home to their native lands for a long time. Why do you think former mex prez Fox has been complaining about tightened border security? Because the more illegals here, the more money mexico makes. And the ones that stay here have been draining healthcare and education funds payed by the taxpayers as well.

You tell me how that benefits this country? All so some business can make a profit? You sir need to pull your head out of your @ss.

I work as an RN in peds, these people provide no benefit whatsoever other than to themselves and businesses.

Daily Horoscope for January 6

Aries

The behaviour of somebody around you (most probably your partner or family member) may be rather irrational today. Alternatively, a surprise involving one of these people is possible. Try to keep your domestic plans reasonably flexible to cover all possible outcomes. The focus is on improving your relationship with your partner or with friends today. Any outings should go very smoothly.
