Immigration bills flood assembly

It is about time the legislators started listening to the legal Americans and started going after the illegal aliens. how many millions will be saved by not allowing them access to state run programs? how much will the state save and the tax payers save not having to support them? it is time to stop doing state buisness in other languages and make them learn english. I applaud the legislation for finally doing something right.

I totally agree. The East Coast has been lagging behind on these issues. It's about time one of the eastern states took a stand. Now let's hope this kick starts the more northern states to follow suit.

The western states that have implimented some of these same initiatives, now see illegals leaving their states by the herds. They say they don't feel 'welcome' anymore. Gee...

The article says:

"The Pew Hispanic Center estimates that there are 250,000 to 300,000 illegal immigrants in Virginia."

With 250,000-300,000 ILLEGALS in Virginia and if every ILLEGAL received just $10.00 in State services a year that adds up to $2,500,000.00 to $3,000,000.00 (2 1/2 MILLION to 3 MILLION dollars) spent on ILLEGALS every year.

At $100.00 per ILLEGAL per year the figure jumps to $25,000,000.00-$30,000,000.00 (25 MILLION-30 MILLION dollars)

At $1,000.00 per ILLEGAL, the figure dramatically increases to $250,000,000.00 to $300,000,000.00 ($250-$300 MILLION dollars) That's 1/4 to almost a 1/3 of a BILLION dollars that ILLEGALS cost the TAXPAYERS of Virginia every year.

However the figure in Iowa reflects the cost per ILLEGAL there is over $4,000.00 for each and every ILLEGAL. If this is the same case a more realistic figure including health care, schooling with free breakfasts and lunches, food stamps, welfare, WIC, etc., the figure sky rockets to $1,000,000,000.00-1,200,000,00 0.00 (1 BILLION to 1 1/5 BILLION dollars) a year spent on ILLEGALS.

If every one of the estimated 12 MILLION to 20 MILLION ILLEGALS cost the taxpayers $4,000,00 in services each year that is ***$48 BILLION to $80 BILLION*** dollars per YEAR.

If ALL States pooled their savings from not having to support ILLEGALS and put that money towards the border fence it would take less than a year to pool the money need to build the fence. So just who is trying to pull the wool of the United States Citizen's eyes?

One more thing. You know the boxes on Federal taxes that you can check to donate part of your refund to a cause? I think there should be a box to donate towards the Border Fence.

The 2007 estimated population of the United States is 301,139,947 subtract 20 million (high end estimate) for ILLEGALS and you get 281,139,947 LEGAL United States Citizens. If just 1/4 of the estimated 281 million LEGAL Citizens (70.25 MILLION) donated $100.00 that would net $7,025,000,000.00 (7 BILLION 25 MILLION dollars) to build the fence.

We are at the point in time where emergency services at local hospitals are rapidly disappearing because of the flood of illegal immigrants in the emergency room waiting room. Must we also teach, feed , and provide social services to illegal aliens who care nothing about the USA and its values. Everything they earn is exported back to Mexico. Enough of this destroying of the american middle class by the politicians and illegal aliens send them back until they get a legal green card and pay taxes to pay for some of these services.

We could build a fence on the whole 2000 mile southern border for 7 Billion.
It costs 3.2 Million per mile of DOUBLE LAYER fence.
that's 6.4 Billion.
And still have 600 million for maintenance.

If they're really concerned about costs...why not use a mine field? It'd be cheaper and mroe effective.

Did they apply to come here legally?
Do they want to become U.S. citizens?
Do they want to learn English?

Or do they want to:
Steal Americans identities?
Steal Americans jobs?
Illegally collect from our social services?
Bankrupt our medical care system?

What is the governor of Virginia's problem? He's a democrat. THAT seems to be their stand; NOT taking a stand because they don't want to offend.

Well Gov. Kaine is not God almighty and some of us DIDN'T vote for him; the liberal element did.
This kind of stuff is what you get. His influence and that of other democrats will determine how this state goes UNTIL MANY PEOPLE GET sick of it and want liberal statutes removed.

In the meantime, Virginia needs to pay STRICT attention to what happens. If it doesn't go the right way, Virginians need to boot these people from office before it is too late.

By the way, I have news for Governor Kaine. He needs to get out of Richmond and some other places and actually SEE some places in Virginia, LOOK at what is happening and go to some of the public meetings; especially when illegals are there.

Would have been nice to see our esteemed governor at the October 16th, 1007 meeting of our local government and just what turned out. "Si, Se Pude".

Since when are gullibility and strict obediance American values? After having WATCHED what these folks do over the years, I think it is o.k. to comment.

Every time I see a post like this I'm going to whip out this response that a very intelligent reader posted once (not me), on these forums. It speaks volumes and answers EVERY question succinnctly. See if you agree?
