Danville man dies after wreck during police chase

Ouch, poor fella. Maybe if the courts would have actually done their job the first two times he was caught driving without a license this wouldn't have happened. Third times a charm!!!

According to his obituary, Freddie Jo'Nathan Bates, the man who died in this accident that he caused, was a cousin of Ta’Breyon “TuTu” McCullough, one of the three killed in the notorious 2007 shootout on East Main.(The trial of the two accused murderers in that case has just recently been postponed to October 2011).

MEANWHILE, the serviceman, John Kessler, whom drunken Bates hit and critically injured in April, is STILL in the hospital.

Being black has nothing to do with it, ignorance infects all races. The fact is this youngin had no respect for the law or safety of other people on the road, and pretty much anyone in public in general. If he had he wouldn't have ran from the police in a high speed chase let alone drink and drive without a drivers license. It is his own wreckless behavoir that has destroyed an entire family of strangers to him. His family should pay the medical bills for the gentleman who was just minding his business driving along the road that day. This idiot deserved it a lot worse than how he passed for what he has done to everyone else.

it is unfortunate that he was so careless and caused the injuries to mr and mrs kessler. thankfully they lived thru such a horrible accident. it could have been much worse...that evening he could have killed several people instead of just himself. that happened to be prom night and many teens were on that stretch of road at that time trying to enjoy their big evening. i think the fact that he wasnt even supposed to be driving let alone being drunk on top of it makes it so frustrating.
