the city beat cops EARN every penny. The glorified meter maids robbing you on the side of the road or thru the toll booths-not so much. I was at the the M&T bank in wboro a cpl weeks ago and a trooper suv was parked in the lot. There was an open space next to him but it occurred to me that I should park someplace else as that phucker could probably write me a ticket for something so at least I should make him EARN it by parking farther away. How sad that ppl have become conditioned to the fact that 75 percent of their job is to write tickets and that u can't even park next to them at the bank out of fear you might get one.

That was exactly my point - that people take off because they have a reason ( agenda ). No way did I refer to this as a run of the mill speeder, even not knowing about the troop car rollover. The run of the mill speeder I was refering to was when Trooper Dillon got shot and killed. He stopped a speeder who pulled right over, no chase involved. Run of the mill until passenger exited and shot him. Now, how do you explain the speeder talking to the Albany dispatcher by cell phone? Do people have PRIVATE phone numbers on speed dial for when they refuse to stop? "Hello, Onstar. You wanna connect me to the New York State Police/Thruway Athority dispatcher in Albany, NY.? I'n on this here zip strip, giving the boys in gray a wake up, white knuckle ride, and I'd like to discuss it with them. Yeah, I'll wait."

Did I state that they did not EARN their $... No!

Good thing they didnt make it to Herkimer County, the pickup driver would've killed himself going head-on into a Semi, like that ex-Pittsburgh Steelers player did a few yrs back.
