ppl writing these comments don't know the man Tom Shober is and that he is here for the children and the senior citizens.....he tells it like it is and has proof to back his claims up....he doesn't hide from the truth or when there is a vote needed....when other board members miss a meeting why aren't they criticized......and as far as the marian comment.....he is a family man and yes a proud grandfather to Libby Shober who happens to go to Marian and won the state title this weekend....what does that have to do with anything......and yes he is a good Christian and is that a sin.....get a life.....you don't know him very well.....

WHY WOULD WE WANT TO REFINANCE AND HAVE TO PAY 3 MILLION MORE IN THE LONG RUN? THIS MAKES NO SENSE AT ALL. ALL THEY ARE DOING IS BURDENING US WITH MORE DEBT LONG TERM. I THOUGHT THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO STRAIGHTEN OUT THE BUDGET. THIS IS NOT STRAIGHTENING OUT ANYTHING. THE ONLY WAY WE SHOULD REFINANCE IS IF IT IS A SAVINGS TO THE TAXPAYERS. I THOUGHT THE BOARD HAD MORE SENSE THAN THIS. WOULD THEY REFINANCE THEIR OWN HOUSE AND PAY MORE? EACH DECISION THEY MAKE IS MORE HUMOROUS THAN THE LAST. SO MUCH FOR CHANGE--THAT OBVIOUSLY DOESN'T WORK!!!!

This is typical PV math. We make smaller initial payments so it will only cost us $3 million more overall. The PSSA test results bear this out, PV finishes in the lowest 10% of all school districts. They practice what they teach!

Where should we start, how about the last time he was on the board, he doesn't seem to like the way the current superintend runs the show, but she's many levels above his previous choices of Mr. D and Mr.A. How about the big fiasco he cause over promising marian that they could play on PV's field, without getting 4 other board members to agree to it. He votes no all the time at the meetings, without offering a better solution. Just remember, its easy to vote no, it takes no thought at all. By the way, with a Schnecksville IP address, I hope you're not posting from the school, during working hours, since other then the IU, who supplies the Internet to PVSD, I don't know of any other providers, who have IP addresses registered to Schnecksville. You know that would be a major violation of the districts' computer use policy, of course, we know, how the rules aren't for you. As far as Libby attending marian, good for her, I wouldn't want my kid attending a school, that Tom and Mickey are trying to ruin.
PS I hope somebody in the schools' IT department investigates, you posting on blogs during working hours

You are overlooking the whole point of the meeting. The school paying 3 million dollars more by their restructuring was the point and not about who was present at the meeting. And don't employees get a lunch break if it was during work. The last time I looked defending someones character isn't against any rule.

I couldn't agree with you more!!!What were they thinking???Smaller payments, but over a longer period of time=more money paid back!!!I wonder if it was a unanimous vote?Whatever!!!!The deed is done.

You missed the whole point of the meeting, it was to make the payments more affordable. I guess you're like tom and didn't think this was important enough to attend the meeting. By the way it was posted long after her lunch break and its still against school policy to post on forums, using school computers. Of course when you're the redheads' daughter, the rules are too good for you

I guess, she was too busy leaving the school property, during working hours, to take smoke breaks to post a rebuttal.
